These stories are my first conscious contact with Borges, and I find it hard to express the impression they made on me. Just stating that I liked them doesn't do them justice - and also isn't helpful in a review, even if it's a short one. What they reminded me of, were fever dreams or maybe dreams of someone intoxicated. But at the same time, they were clear, rational and structured in a way dreams never are. I fear this isn't much better, so maybe I'll just stick with "I liked them" after all.
