The City of Düsseldorf on foot

Düsseldorf city centre is above all the old town and the Karlstadt quarter, encircled by the green spaces of the Hofgarten park. Three tours lead from the Hofgarten via Königsallee, Düsseldorf´s magnificent avenue for strolling and shopping, past the swan lake and through the Ständehaus park to "K21", where the state art collection of North Rhine Westphalia is on view. A classic tour through the old town leads back to the promenade on the banks of the Rhine.
