Given the cover and blurb I was expecting another cosy and Christmassy read. Unfortunately this book was far away from being a festive read. From the beginning I have been struggling with this book. It gave me a really hard time connecting with the story and its characters. Everything felt extremely distant and I wasn't emotionally involved as well. The story was rather depressing than a cosy and jolly Christmas read. It might have worked better for me if it wasn't labelled as festive read for the holiday season. There is hardly any Christmassy atmosphere and most of the book the only Christmas references are that the book is set in December. I can say that I prefer the classical Christmas books with a festive atmosphere and a light-hearted love story.
"Winterzauberküsse" von Sue Moorcroft ist ein weihnachtlicher Liebesroman. Seicht, wunderschön, mit der angenehm ausgearbeiteten Hauptperson Ava. Die Geschichte entwickelt sich langsam, aber sehr angenehm. Ein sehr realistisches Buch, dass man wunderbar bei Tee und Weihnachtsmusik verschlingen konnte. Das einzige, was ich schade fand, war, dass einige Fragen in der Danksagung beendet wurden. Ich hätte mir dafür schon einen vernünftigen Epilog gewünscht. Ansonsten habe ich dieses Buch in gerade mal drei Tagen durchgelesen. Wirklich schön!
