Beschreibung

A New York Times best-selling sci-fi fantasy series with heart.

Amberground is locked in darkness. A man-made star casts only a dim light over the land. The pitch-black wilderness is infested with Gaichuu—colossal insects with metal exoskeletons. The Gaichuu make travel between the cities of Amberground extremely dangerous. But thankfully the Letter Bees, a brave corps of messengers, risk their lives in order to keep the hearts of Amberground connected.

Gauche Suede is on his last delivery before a big promotion. In the outskirts of Yodaka, the darkest area of Amberground, Gauche is surprised to find that the package is a young boy named Lag Seeing. Lag had been traumatized by his mother's abduction and is due to be delivered to his aunt. In this remote area rife with Gaichuu, Lag and Gauche face a dangerous journey that inspires Lag to become a Letter Bee.

Just keep in mind that I'm reviewing this as a reader who has read more then a single volume of this series. Like most shounen Jump labeled manga, this is NOT a get the job and enter an everlasting journey to no tomorrow. It actually has plot, the best part for any series and most critical! The description paints off the first volume, a boy named Lag who's set out to be a Letter Bee to reunite with his friend Gauche. While that may sound like an over used plot, this series actually makes it interesting! You have to be a patient reader to let the story write itself (or in this case, draw). The story really starts picking up in the middle/end of volume 2, it leaves off at a cliffhanger but it leaves you wanting to read more, that's always a good thing! Now, for the age rating I'll give it a 15+, there's nothing sexual or gravely inappropriate about it, but there's some panels that are not recommended to show to a 13 year old. If you haven't yet, go read it! c:
