Über das Buch

Twenty-two years ago, Sam and Dean Winchester lost their mother to a mysterious and demonic supernatural force. In the years after, their father, John, taught them about the paranormal evil that lives in the dark corners and on the back roads of America...and he taught them how to kill it. Sam and Dean have set out on a road trip to the Grand Canyon, but this is no vacation for the brothers. On a stretch of deserted ranchland just beyond the canyon's stunning vistas, mysterious murder sprees have occurred every forty years. The area's inhabitants have been few and far between in years past, but a nearby mega-mall is about to celebrate its grand opening—and attract thousands of fresh victims. The Winchester boys are determined to protect locals and shoppers alike, but they never anticipated they'd be fighting a group of killers this vicious, this vindictive, this . . . dead. A deadly horde of animal spirits and human ghosts has arisen to terrorize this tiny corner of the Arizona desert. If Sam and Dean can't figure out why, the wide-open spaces of the West will once again become a desolate frontier . . . and the witch's canyon will be the brothers' final resting place.

„Bone Key“ hat sich angefühlt wie eine richtig gute Folge aus der Serie , düster, spannend und mit dem typischen Humor von Sam und Dean. Ich fand’s super, wie gut das Buch die Atmosphäre der Serie eingefangen hat. Es war, als würde ich direkt wieder mit den beiden auf Monsterjagd gehen – absolut passend und kein bisschen fremd. Für Fans der Serie definitiv ein Muss – ich freu mich schon auf den nächsten Band! 👻🔪🚗💨

It was okay, not the best one but it was okay (if you read it in the actual year season two was produced)

I consider myself as a big fan of the Supernatural series and - of course - I wanted to read the books too! But after I finished the first one I couldn't be more dissapointed, maybe because I expected too much but (for me) it was boring and all I wanted was to finish it as soon as possible. Well, and when I finally did I wasn't sure if I should really read the second one ... BUT! Let me tell you: it's a lot better than the first book! I could imagine Dean and Sam investigating, fighting those "creatures", doing research, looking for any clues and yes, even eating their food at the Wagon Wheel. In general I think it was "well" written (there are always up's and down's, of course) and I especially liked the scene with all the insects (one of my favorites scenes but ugh, gross!) There are also a few flashbacks of Dean & Sam as kids and some nice brotherly moments that I really enjoyed! I'd say all in all it's a good book, still not as good as the TV show but if you're really into Supernatural and (like me) can't get enough of it: read it! :)
