'The world is not ready for Ryder Rivers' Reader review ¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿

'Jessica Peterson, you've done it again' Reader review ¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿

One hard fall in the rodeo ring.
One maddeningly gorgeous cowboy.
One chance at love she swore she'd never take.

Billie Wallace has spent her whole life trying to prove she's more than the Wallace Ranch's "wild" only daughter. All she wants is a shot at barrel racing but when her very first run ends in disaster, Billie lands flat on her back with Ryder Rivers - her childhood crush, her brother's best friend, and the town's notorious heartbreaker - hovering over her.

Ryder has never entertained Billie's shameless flirting. But after her fall, he's suddenly everywhere - showing up to help her when she's hurt, staring at her across the honky-tonk when she's trying to move on with a bronc rider, and encouraging her to explore her dream career.

Before either can register what's happening, their partnership sparks into much more than just dust and arguments.

Late nights turn into stolen kisses. Stolen kisses turn into something that feels dangerously like forever.

Ryder swears he's not the staying kind, but the way he looks at Billie like she's the only woman in the world makes her wonder if he's ready to stop running . . .

Ryder is the fifth standalone cowboy romance in the steamy and wildly sexy Lucky River Ranch series by the New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Jessica Peterson, perfect for fans of Elsie Silver and Lyla Sage.

I really liked Rider. I don’t think it was my favorite book of the series, but it was still such a good and heartfelt ending to the whole River Boys family. What I enjoyed most were the topics the book dealt with. Ryder struggling with grief and shutting down emotionally felt really realistic, especially how hard it was for him to let people in or even admit what he was feeling. And then there’s Billie, who spent so much of her life trying to please everyone around her and not disappoint her parents that she almost forgot what she actually wanted. I really liked seeing her step out of her comfort zone, stand up for herself, and finally say what was truly on her mind. I also loved their dynamic together. Billie especially made me laugh because she just said whatever came to her mind, and her personality balanced Ryder’s more closed-off nature really well. And honestly, one of my favorite things about this whole series has always been the family aspect: the love, support, chaos, and caring between everyone. Seeing all of them together again at the end made it feel like such a warm and fitting completion to the series.
