Ich bin durch Zufall auf dieses Buch gestoßen und habe Megan Fox zuvor eher als Sex-Symbol assoziiert. Daher war ich mehr als neugierig, vor allem weil es bei dem Buch um eine Gedichtsammlung handelt. Für mich haben sich die Gedichte oft eher wie Tagebucheinträge lesen lassen, was mich persönlich aber nicht gestört hat. Kann mir aber vorstellen, dass das nicht den Geschmack der Person treffen wird. Dafür „mochte“ ich die ehrlichen und offenen Worte. Welche mich oft schockiert, bewegt und zum nachdenken angeregt haben. Meiner Meinung nach „lohnt“ es sich, dieses Buch und die Gedichte näher anzusehen. Zudem zeigt es, dass toxisches Beziehungen jeden treffen kann. Selbst die Reichen und Schönen. Trotz all ihrem Star-Status sind es immer noch Menschen, wie du und ich. Dieses Buch erinnert mich wieder daran.
Pretty Boys are poisonous war mal etwas ganz anderes als ich eigentlich erwartet habe. Habe mich bislang sehr wenig mit der Autorin beschäftigt und habe mir jetzt ein ganz eigenes Bild von ihr und ihrem Leben machen können. Das ganze ist sehr erschreckend gewesen und gleichzeitig nimmt es einen komplett mit. Viele Texte regeb auch zum nachdenken an. Große Empfehlung für alle Fans von ihr und für alle die es noch werden wollen.
Nicht für jeden was
Ob es jetzt wahre Poesie und echte Gedichte sind, darüber kann man wohl streiten oder vielleicht ist es das auch nicht. Dennoch hat es mir persönlich sehr gut gefallen, für mich war es ansprechend und berührend. Das Hauptthema sind ihre toxischen/gewaltätigen Beziehung und es ist manchmal schon hart. Manche beschreiben es auch als zu edgy/ zu teeniemäßig wie auch immer. Aber das ist eben ihre Art damit umzugehen und es vielleicht zu verarbeiten? Wie gesagt es wird definitiv nicht jeden ansprechen
