I had my problems with the beginning of this book. It just did not feel like other Vi Books. But Hudson, Charlie & Stella took my heart🤗 especially the ending got me. I liked Stella and Hudson very much. I also liked that they took the time to get to know each other. The funny sayings on the bananas, his love for Charly. The topic around perfumes and diaries was just so great implemented. It entertained me very well and the ending was sugar😍

Ich mag Vi Keeland eigentlich wirklich gern, deshalb hat mich dieses Buch ein bisschen überrascht. Der Schreibstil hat sich für mich diesmal gar nicht typisch nach ihr angefühlt. Normalerweise komme ich schnell rein und fühle mich sofort abgeholt, aber hier habe ich deutlich länger gebraucht, um in die Geschichte zu finden. Irgendetwas war anders – nicht schlecht, aber ungewohnt. Die Protagonisten mochte ich einzeln total gern, beide hatten etwas für sich, waren sympathisch und gut ausgearbeitet. Trotzdem hat mir zwischen ihnen dieses besondere Gefühl gefehlt. Ich habe verstanden, warum sie zusammenpassen, aber ich habe es nicht richtig gespürt. Diese Chemie, die der Titel verspricht, kam bei mir emotional einfach nicht ganz an. Gegen Ende wurde es dann etwas intensiver und emotionaler, das hat mir besser gefallen 🙂 Insgesamt blieb ich aber ein bisschen verwundert zurück. Es war kein schlechtes Buch, wirklich nicht – nur eben auch keines, das mich komplett abgeholt hat. Gerade weil ich die Autorin so mag, hatte ich wahrscheinlich andere Erwartungen.

Vi Keeland ist wirklich für mich die Entdeckung des letzten Jahres. Ich liebe ihren Schreibstil, den tollen Humor, den sie in jedes ihrer Bücher einfließen lässt und auch das ihre Bücher, trotz spicy Szenen, auch wirklich eine Geschichte erzählen. Diese hier zwischen Stella und Hudson konnte mich komplett abholen. Ich war praktisch nur am schmachten, freudig quietschen und lachen 🌝🩷
