Next to You

I can’t even express how much I enjoyed this book, every single word, from the first to the last page. It’s full of laughter, tears, depth, personal growth. I loved every single character, their stories, the mental health representation, the banter, the tension, the families and the found families. It’s one of those books that just makes you feel good. If I could rate it 10 stars, I absolutely would. GO READ IT. Oh and I adore Mattheus Tilo-Jones. “Manamea” might be my new “darling”.

I genuinely don't know what type of magic HBY puts into her writing but whatever it is - give me more. Three books read by her and all of them were a five star. Even though it took me over two months to finish Next to you (courtesy of a reading slump) I still loved every second of the story whenever I did end up picking up the book. I can see a lot of myself in Lane and her situation that she's going through hits very close to home atm. Matt is just everything you could ever wish for. I'm down bad for this man, everyone needs a Matt in their life. And the story overall progressed so smoothly and it felt like I was reading about real people. I can't even express my love for this book properly so please just read it and you will understand what an amazing author Hannah Bonam-Young is

Dieses Buch hat für mich alles, was ein Romance Buch braucht. Die Charaktere und der Verlauf der Geschichte waren super! Außerdem behandelt das Buch unfassbar wichtige Themen, die mich sehr berührt haben. In Elaine/Lane - der Hauptprotagonistin - habe ich mich mehr als ein Mal wiedergesehen und dazu ist das Buch auch noch so wundervoll geschrieben, dass man gar nicht anders kann als immer weiterlesen zu wollen. Matt - der Love Interest - ist jetzt definitiv einer meiner liebsten Bookboyfriends und ich kann es kaum erwarten mehr von der Autorin zu lesen! 🥰
