Modern Science and Anarchy

A new Peter Kropotkin work will be welcomed by our anarchist readership (as is evidenced by the blurbs from historians that we've already pulled together) but we hope to also develop some traction for the title with the scientific community. The book deals heavily with theories and philosophies of science. We are seeking a blurb from Dr. Carolyn Merchant, scietific historian and author of The Death of Nature: Women, Ecology, and the Scientific Revolution to raise the book's profile among progressive scientists (indeed Kropotkin was an evolutionary biologist by trade). We hope these efforts will open doors to reviews in publications that typically wouldn't review an AK Press book?Kropotkin is the anarchist everyone wants to know and praise, everyone from Stephen Jay Gould to Alexander Cockburn were big fans.
