So cute!

A cozy, bookish romance with the perfect mix of charm and emotion! As Quinn fights to save his beloved queer bookshop, the last thing he needs is a distraction—especially in the form of brooding novelist Noah. But with snow, small-town proximity, and undeniable chemistry, fate has other plans. A heartwarming and swoon-worthy read for romance lovers!

You know what‘s worse than a book that‘s bad? A book that‘s mid. Bc you keep hoping it‘ll get better and you don‘t dislike it enough to dnf it and in the end you feel like you lowkey wasted your time? Yep. I wanted to love it so badly, especially because Christmas is in 4 days, but I didn‘t. The pacing was weird, the plot was structured in a way that I thought „oh, now it‘s finished“ just to see I was only at 50%. There is so much rambling and overthinking in Quinns had, but not in an entertaining way. At the same time Noah feels bland and boring, a perfect Ken whose flaws we discover only very late. SPOILERS FROM HERE: ⬇️ I HATED that Quinn was immediately fine and forgave Noah for 1. not telling him he had a boyfriend and leading him on for the first 50% of the book and 2. letting him down and running away Just because he came back in the end and said sorry once. The bookshop storyline felt unrealistic, was dragged out way too long and the resolve was MID as well. I don‘t know how to word it differently, but it was just s bit disappointing. I feel like the grinch for writing this review for a christmas themed book (tbh christmas was actually not that important, it could have played on any other season, wouldn‘t have made much of a difference) four days before christmas. But here we are. So… happy christmas i guess?
