After loving On the Come Up I started looking for books where music is important to the characters and has an impact on the story and I stumbled upon this book. I can gladly announce that I enjoyed it a lot. Jasmin lost her brother, Quadir and Jarrell lost their best friend so the three of them decide to share the music Steph recorded before his death with the world. While selling CDs with his Songs and plotting to get him signed by a music label, they also discovered more about how and why Steph was murdered. I loved the music references and the adorable friendship moments in this book. But I have to admit that with the three of them being only 15 to 16 years old, them pretending to be Steph's managers felt unrealistic. I don't think they could actually pull that off with no one recognizing their lacking professionalism or their age. Nevertheless this was an enjoyable read and I'd definitely recommend it!
