Über das Buch

Catching feelings was never part of the plan.Taking in Kason Fuller as roommate is meant to be a favor;one I regret immediately. The bumbling, virgin football player drives me to the brink of sanity, stealing my food, my sleep, my peace and solitude. My solution? Call a ceasefire.Get him out on dates and out of my hair.Yet as our truce shifts,I realize there's a depth to this connection unlike any I've felt before. It turns out, I don't mind his presence.I crave it, along with every morsel I learn about him.But falling for the guy from the wrong side of the tracks wasn't in the cards. And I'm not the only one who thinks so.Now, I'm at a crossroads between the life I thought I'd have,or risking everything to catch him.*Fair Catch is the third in a five book standalone college sports romance series featuring one extremely *frustrated* virgin, flirtatious roomie dates, and a not-so-sanitary use of butter that will have you clutching your pearls. Not suitable for anyone under 18 years of age.*

Better than the second book, had a few lengths but the story was good developed!

Okay, first of all: I liked Fair Catch a lot better than Caught Stealing, it fortunately didn't have comparable problematic scenes regarding consent and alcohol - which is why Fair Catch took the chance I gave CE Ricci for reading anything by her in the future. Hayes and Kason's story was cute, I liked the ending and the demi representation, even tho I would have loved to see how being on the ace spec developed after the first gettogether. However, he's demi, so that might just not come up in his experience and is as valid as others. I knew beforehand there'd be a third act breakup, because it is one of the tropes the book was advertised with. I personally don't really like third act breakups, because they mostly feel incredibly fake or staged to create a little drama, but in this one, it was quite fine actually. I personally would have acted differently, but it still followed the characters' logic and how they were developed, so it suited the story. The ending in this regard was also really beautiful! There were some lengths in the middle of this book and I kind of have troubles understanding why a romance needs to be more than 350 pages max, I haven't read a romance of more than 400 pages yet that didn't have lengths somewhere. I still liked the style of writing!
