Cozy, herbstliches Jugendbuch
Fableview, eine Kleinstadt in der der gesamte Oktober im Zeichen von Halloween steht. Im Mittelpunkt der Geschichte stehen Darcy und Anya. Darcy will die Kleinstadt verlassen, aber ihre Eltern haben andere Pläne. Anya ist eine Hexe, die aber Zweifel an ihrer Zukunft hat. Sie wollen sich gegenseitig unterstützen und arbeiten zusammen. Das Buch steckt voller herbstlicher Gemütlichkeit. Es werden viele Herbst- und Halloweenaktivitäten beschrieben. Alle davon machen beim Lesen richtig viel Spaß. Da es ein Jugendbuch ist, konnten mich nicht alle dargestellten Probleme abholen. In dem Alter der Protagonistinnen hätte ich das ähnlich gesehen, aber mittlerweile weiß ich mit sowas umzugehen. Trotzdem hat mir das Buch gefallen. Es war nett, unterhaltsam und voller Herbstlichkeit. Das Buch ist für gemütliche Herbstabende bestens geeignet, aber kein Highlight.

Süße RomCom, tolle Charaktere und viel Magie. Darcy und Anya wachsen im Laufe der Geschichte deutlich über sich hinaus und helfen sich selber dabei sich zu finden. Während neben der Liebe auch Freundschaften wachsen und das kleine Städtchen Fableview einen verzaubert fliegt man nur so durch die Geschichte.

This decision was made without her and she has other plans for her near future, as she wants to study abroad. Way too long she is imprisond in the little "halloweenish" town... Anya is the new girl in fableview. Some kind of awkward, lonely and taciturned. She has a secret, which she tries to hide from the normal population of fableview, but also she has to find someone to include... That's the oint where Darcy and Anya find each other and maybe find something more than that... Review "Everything she does is magic" was my first queer, magical romance I've red. It was sweet and lovely but nothing more than that. I'm definitely too old for high-school romances and miscommunication is annoying 😅
100 Seiten mehr hätten diesem Buch gut getan, die Handlung wird schnell vorangetrieben, etwas viel tell no show, was die Beziehungen für mich etwas weniger greifbar gemacht hat. Trotzdem habe ich es gern gelesen, flüssiger Schreibstil und cute Smalltown-Halloween-Vibes mit Coming of Age Themen. WLW, YA Romance
