BOOK 3 OF THE DAYTONA FURY SERIESHawkSince I was a teenager, I've used baseball as a way to distract myself from everything my life was missing. I grew up too fast, taking care of my two younger brothers. They were all I had, until one day, they were taken away and I was alone. Being drafted by the Daytona Fury brought with it a gift I wasn't expecting-my best friend, Jackson Blake. I've opened up to him about my past and he's accepted me for who I am, but I've never felt fully understood...at least not until I met his stepsister. Arden makes me feel seen, and she's secretly owned a piece of me for years. The problem? He's in love with her too. JacksonI've known Arden Levine since we were kids, but by the time I was ready to shoot my shot with her, it was too late. Our parents' whirlwind engagement and wedding turned us from friends to step siblings, and any chance at a future with her flew right out the window. I thought I was okay with knowing we could never be, but now that I'm forced to sit back and watch my best friend have everything I've always wanted but gave up on long ago, I'm not so sure. ArdenAs a member of Florida's first professional volleyball team, the pressure to be perfect is constantly there. Some days, it's great. Others, the darkness finds me and pulls me under. Jackson has always been a source of comfort, but now that I'm living with him and his best friend, Hawk Mason, I find myself seeking solace in both of them-each in very different ways. As confusing as my feelings for these two have been for a long time, I'm starting to wonder what it would be like to really have it all.

„this beautiful, pure, sweet girl is battling something bigger than anyone knows, and the thought fucking kills me.“

⋆.ೃ࿔*:・ hawk mason. that‘s it. that should be this whole post, honestly. this was the first book of the daytona fury series i read (who starts with the last part??) because i saw snippets of it on instagram and couldn‘t resist… double play is LITERALLY the craziest book i‘ve ever read when it comes to spice level, i think. like, jesus. i genuinely had to take several breaks and deep breaths as i was reading this. i thought i was prepared, but i don‘t think anything could‘ve prepared me for this. at first, the whole jackson-arden-trope kind of freaked me out but i just kept telling myself that it‘s fine as i read, and it really wasn‘t that bad. they were best friends before they ever were anything else, after all. hawk and arden on the other hand??? holy shit. i‘ve never been as invested in a character’s arc as i was with hawk mf mason. the bad vibes i was feeling at the very beginning were doing a full 180 after their first couple of interactions. he‘s just a boy :( there‘s a lotttt of crazy scenes in this book but i‘d be lying if i said i mind… i‘m also just a girl. genuinely a great book imo, i was so hooked and finished this super quickly. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
