Are you tired, stressed and trying your best but somehow it's never enough?
Does your job seep into your evenings and your home life creep into your work?
Does the bottom half of your To Do list feel unreachable?
This is burnout and it is affecting how we work, parent, socialise and live.
Through her own experience, original interviews and detailed analysis, Anne Helen Petersen traces the institutional and generational causes of burnout. And, in doing so, she helps us to let go of our guilt and imagine a possible future.
'Genuinely enlightening... Can't Even is a reminder to the burned out generation that things can be different' Observer

Hm... overall it is a good analysis on how we use technology and how it makes us so addictive and burned out. But in my view it is just a analysis nothing more. It's written in a very negative perspectives without any outlook or give some hope at the end. It is also very American (some chapters I didn't get...), like I wonder how the same topic would be when looking to European or Asian countries, etc. If you are not mentally stable I wouldn't read this book since it only shows the negative impact it has on you and this could make you even more depressed. Maybe read it with someone and talk about it together. It can create though awareness towards your actions and spark some new approaches that at the end remains for you to decide what works or not. I wouldn't recommend this book....
