2,5* I kind of don’t want to write this review. Honestly I really thought I would enjoy this a lot more than I did. I don’t know a lot about Black Panther, I think the only other comic I read where he appeared was the Ultimates (which I also didn’t like that much), so I wanted to read this to kind of prepare for the movie. That wasn’t such a good idea... I wouldn’t recommend this comic for people who don’t know a lot about Black Panther because, like me, you will probably be confused. Overall the story is kind of about some sort of rebellion in Wakanda that Black Panther has to deal with. Since I don’t really know anything about the backstory I also didn’t really get what the reason for the rebellion was and there are also quite a frew different storylines going on and it changed between them a lot. It also just seemed to asume that you know a lot about the backstory which I clearly didn’t. I was mostly pretty confused. Overall it just seemed to me that the story didn’t really go anywhere. I thought it was interesting that there wasn’t really a clear distinction between who were the heroes and who the villains or at least that the hero did not seem like he only made the right choices... Honestly I kind of sympathized the most with the Dora Milaje „rebels“. But still there was just way to much talking and not enough happening.
