Tropes: – introvert x introvert – bad reputation – mental health – found family – long distance relationship
Willow and Garrison are truly comfort characters. I‘ve read a 700 page book about them, and I still haven‘t had enough. At this point the core 8 are my happy place, and I never want to leave. That said, I loved this book. I think it‘s kind of funny there is an chronological and non–chronological version of this book (and well, this gives me a good excuse to reread it) What is one of the best parts of Krista and Becca Ritchie’s books is how real the characters feel, and that I can call their MMCs bookboyfriends without feeling guilty by any means – they are not toxic or add fuel to my man–hate (though Los father does that a little😂) Garrison for example, I feel weirdly represented by him if you ignore for a sec that I‘m not a gamer, he‘s a loner, though sometimes craves the company of people – his people –, his sarcasm is everything and I love how he worships Willow (I would do that too, she‘s awesome). And Willow is just a sweetheart. By the way, I feel represented by her too. She has my personality type (infp), so unsurprisingly I could put myself in her shoes (mentally speaking) very easily. Something I love about this book as well is how it tells their story and still feels like a Addicted/Calloway Sisters book (even if officially I think it isn‘t) Due to Willow and Garrison they aren‘t just the core six, but rather the core 8 – because I think these two, eventhough they have more of their own footing (Willows storyline in London helped giving them space on their own) they are also a part of Lily, Lo, Connor, Rose, Ryke and Daisy and their family, and that‘s so wholesome and I just love this big (found) family. 5/5⭐️
