Das Buch nimmt uns mit auf die Reise des Lebens in unserer Luft. Von Wissenschaftlern, die Tuberkulose, Masern und Influenza-Ausbrüche studierten und verstanden, dass es nicht auf die überall betonten Tröpfchen ankommt. Der historische Weg von Miasma zu Pathogenen zur Aerobiologie. Von Epidemien, Ernteausfällen, spektakulären Experimenten, an denen sogar Emilia Erhardt beteiligt war, UV-Licht zur Lufthygiene und CO2-Messungen.
