Es war in Ordnung. Chandler war als Protagonistin ein starker Charakter, doch zeitgleich extrem unsicher. In vielen ihrer Taten war sie unentschlossen, was mit der Zeit nervte. So eine Unsicherheit ist in Ordnung, nur hat sie von Finn Selbstbewusstsein verlangt, aber selbst nicht danach gelebt. Das Ende war grausam und einfach nur nervig.
Ich mochte die Geschichte echt total – auch wenn natürlich von Anfang an klar ist, worauf das Ganze hinausläuft. Aber ganz ehrlich? Das stört null, weil der Weg dahin einfach so unterhaltsam ist. Was ich richtig erfrischend fand: Der Sex wird hier nicht als dieses überperfekte, weltverändernde Erlebnis erzählt. Stattdessen ist das erste Mal so herrlich… menschlich. 😂 Nicht schlecht, aber halt auch nicht wow. Und dass der Typ dabei ein bekannter Schauspieler ist, macht’s nur noch witziger. Endlich mal kein „Hollywood hat’s erfunden“-Moment, sondern ehrlicher, echter Realismus. Und dann? Wird’s richtig gut. Denn das Buch zeigt ziemlich genial, wie wichtig Kommunikation, Vertrauen und Selbstwahrnehmung für guten Sex sind. Ehrlich – man könnte das Buch fast als Fachlektüre weiterempfehlen. 📘😉 Ich hatte einfach richtig viel Spaß beim Lesen – witzig, charmant, ein bisschen spicy, und gleichzeitig überraschend klug geschrieben. Fazit: Business or Pleasure ist das perfekte Buch für alle, die Romance lieben, aber auch mal sehen wollen, wie’s aussieht, wenn nicht alles sofort perfekt läuft. Spoiler: Es ist sogar besser so.
