Mimori Seo is a ghost.

Rather, he was a ghost (or something like it) for a whole year while his body lay in a coma recovering from a near-fatal fall. At least, that’s according to the story Iku Kurihara—a local convenience store clerk who for some reason has been visiting Mimori’s dreams—tells when he suddenly confesses his love to Mimori.
