1 star because my edition is pretty and I do love Colleen Hoover but with „this girl“ it ends with you and me and 5 star ratings 😂😂
Review: „This girl “ by Colleen Hoover Rating: ⭐️ 1/5 Pages: 300 Series: yes, part 3 of the Slammed series German title: Weil wir uns lieben Weiterempfehlung / rec: 0% (English below) 🇩🇪 Das war jetzt der 3. Teil der Slammed Serie, weiter unten hab ich euch schon den ersten und zweiten Teil vorgestellt. Ich muss dazu sagen, dass ich kein CoHo hater bin, ganz im Gegenteil ich bin ein CoHo Jünger, ich bin wie die Zeugen Jehovas nur eben die Zeugen Hoover 💗😭. Und trotzdem gebe ich nur 1 Stern für „This girl“. Der Grund ist ganz einfach, das Buch hat im Prinzip keine eigene Handlung, die Teile 1 und 2 werden einfach nochmal durchgekaut, es werden natürlich Details ersetzt. Wer Layken und Will toll findet, kann sich das gerne kaufen. Aber es waren ernsthaft nur maximal 3 Seiten, die wirklich neu waren vom Inhalt. Man erfährt eben wie Story endet (komplett vorhersehbar). Das hätte man einfach in Band 2 in einen Epilog reinpacken können… Von mir keine Kauf - und keine Leseempfehlung! 🇬🇧 „Slammed“ and „Point of retreat“ were good original books. „This girl“ is the third and last past of the series and a total waste of time and money. Besides the end which anybody could have guessed, nothing new is told and offered. Just again the whole story from the 2 previous novels is told only with more details. Didn’t like it at all and it kind of ruined the whole series for me. Stop reading after „Point of retreat“ and just google the end or ask me. Thank me later

still the same opinion as in the second book of this series, like i think that it is not necessary to read the other two parts (part 2 and 3), since part 1 could also be standalone. of course, I was still very happy to read more about Will and Layken. i can't believe it's OVER. this series has my WHOLE heart. the characters, the topics, the relationship, even the tiny little details of each page. i couldn't have found a better ending for them.

✨️perfect ending✨️ I can't believe I'm finished, but I am. This whole trilogy has my WHOLE heart. The characters, the topics, the relationship, even the tiny little details of each page... ...it ALL belongs to my heart 🌟 I couldn't have found a better ending for this - how CoHo would say - 🦋gang🦋. I love the story and them all so much. That's why it's bittersweet to say goodbye... ... but I guess I have to✨️ 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 out of 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟. 🦋BUTTERFLYING BEAUTIFUL 🦋
I am currently giving this two stars, although I thought of making it 1,5... Let me tell you why: It's a re-telling of Slammed, from Will's perspective. The dialogue is the same, his thoughts didn't interest me much. There were two scenes we didn't get in Slammed, which were a poetry slam Will went to with Gavin and Eddie, and this date with that girl; and his parents accident. The former... was boring. The latter - enlighting. One of the only good scenes in this book. I hated Will's behavior, I skipped most of the flashback parts... Yeah, this was definitely a flop for me! What I did like was the epilogue, and the pool scene... In my opinion, this could have been a great 50 page novella, same idea same everything - just without 80% of Will telling Layken his point of view. I feel like I need to quote "I Know It's Today" from the musical Shrek at this point. Cut the villains, cut the vamping Cut this fairytale Cut the peril and the pitfalls Cut the puppet and the whale Cut the monsters, cut the curses Keep the intro, cut the verses And the waiting, the waiting, the waiting, the waiting The waiting! This summarizes my opinions on the book. I will keep the two stars for the pool scene, the accident retelling and the epilogue. Because they were amazing.
This book was even more disappointing. 80% were just retelling the story from a different POV. 2 stars for the ending. I will just pretend book one was the only book in the series ;)
Ugh! Also, ich fand ja Teil 2 schon nicht mehr so gut. Aber ich fand das hier auf meinem Kindle und dachte: na wieso nicht. Es fing ganz süß an. Das muss man schon sagen. Aber im Grunde ist es eine pure Nacherzählung von Band 1, nur eben aus Wills Sicht. Bei mir lag jetzt über ein Jahr dazwischen, da war es nicht so schlimm, aber ich kann mir vorstellen, dass, wenn man alles hintereinander liest, es sehr langweilig wird. Gegen Ende fand ich es furchtbar. Es ging immer nur darum, dass die beiden Sex haben wollen, aber nicht können. Will sagte manchmal so verachtende Worte, dass ich am liebsten laut geschrien hätte (hätte ich nicht in der Bahn gesessen). Er erlaubt Lake nicht, etwas bestimmtes anzuziehen oder zu tun? Er kann sich kaum beherrschen wenn sie im gleichen Raum ist? Wüsste ich nicht, dass die Autorin weiblich ist, hätte ich gedacht, das ist eine Geschichte eines Mannes, der keine Ahnung von irgendwas hat. Das ist definitiv keine Romanze mehr gewesen. Schade.

Ich bin super ehrlich die Reihe war wie alle anderen Bücher von Colleen Hoover auch sehr gut. Allerdings muss ich sagen, dass dieses auf und ab der Beziehung von Lake und Will etwas anstrengend wird auf Dauer. Trotz allem muss ich sagen ist es sehr emotional geschrieben und es ist unfassbar angenehm zu lesen. Ich muss sagen diese Buchreihe war auf Englisch extremst gut und ich kann sie wirklich weiter empfehlen für die Leute, die wirklich total auf diese romantischen Bücher und diese Dramatischen Stories stehen. 🫶🏼
