Measurement Strategies

Today, there is hardly any workpiece of which the form parameters cannot be measured by means of coordinate measuring machines. The universal applicability of the machines enables a wide range of application of this technology which, however, increases inevitably the complexity of the handling. The numerous options of the machinespecific operating software on the one hand and the various theoretical considerations regarding a target-oriented treatment of measuring jobs on the other hand cause that the measuring results determined via the same coordinate measuring machine on the same may differ. To increase the comparability of measuring results, it is required to provide the operators of coordinate measuring machines with procedure options for planning, performing and evaluating measurements in addition to a well-founded AUKOM training. This book of the ZEISS Metrology Academy is intended to make a contribution to achieve these targets
