Against Nature is the yellow book Dorian Gray is reading and it is the essence of dandyism - though I'd always imagined a dandy to be more outgoing, someone who enjoys mingling. There is no real plot, just a series of descriptions of how Des Esseintes fashions his house and his daily life, his excentricities and his hypochondria. The writing is often very over the top and gets a bit tiring after a while. But the book is nonetheless quite enjoyable and a quick read.
