Beschreibung

Cursed Bunny is a genre-defying collection of short stories by Korean author Bora Chung. Blurring the lines between magical realism, horror, and science-fiction, Chung uses elements of the fantastic and surreal to address the very real horrors and cruelties of patriarchy and capitalism in modern society.

Anton Hur’s translation skilfully captures the way Chung’s prose effortlessly glides from being terrifying to wryly humorous. Winner of a PEN/Heim Grant.

Horrifying, suspenseful, well written

The first two stories were really awesome. I was very shocked because I underestimated it at first! The Other stories were also exciting but definitely a bit more "harmless" than the first two xD But it's sad that I didn't like the other stories that much... The Head, The Embodiment, The Frozen Finger, Goodbye my love, Ruler of the Winds and sand were best for me and the other... I don't know... Could have been better But overall I can recommend the book. It's a cool mix of the categories, not too long and not too short, well written :) Definitely gonna re-read it someday! ^^

Amazing short stories. This book made me realize that i like horror short stories. Some were boring, but mostly they were good

i really hated the translation of this, and i also cannot comprehend how everyone seems to like the first two stories best. in my opinion it got slightly better after those.

Manifestation of grief might be a great read dealing with the topics of supernatural and other worldly. but readers who have faced such issue can understand that sometimes the grief feels just as real as the manifestation shown in this book. The author has perfectly captured the emotion, life and experiences of people while still having a chilling and thrill reading time. Overall the ending gave me a cathartic vibe.

4,5 I didn't like one story at all, most of them were still amazing. Quite disturbing too.

Was looking forward to read this because of the excitement by the readers and ok, the further the I went, the more disappointment I felt. These stories aren't that horrid as I expected. Although The Head is a perfect one, runner up for me is held by Snare.
