This is a little spinoff prequel for the "Extracurricular Activities" series that I've already read and liked, so I obviously wanted to read this as well. Since it's just about 100 pages, it's not as in-depth as the others, but it's also not just smut. It's just a sweet, straightforward lovestory in the familiar uni setting. Josh needs tutoring in physics and gets paired up with Logan, who is holding a little grudge cause Josh dipped on a group project they were in together the year before, so Logan had to do his part as well. But that's quickly forgotten once they get to know each other more. So, there isn't really any big drama or anything. I really enjoyed their chemistry and funny banter. Kinda wished this could have been a full-length novel, but it was fine for what it is. It was also nice seeing a few of the future main characters from the other books before they got into their relationships and a few hints of what's to come. Had to laugh about a line when they were in the library, and Josh said, "All sorts of crazy non-studying shit goes on here, trust me." cause like, yeah, we know 😂

Athlete Josh needs help with physics, his tutor Ligan is less than thrilled - the first time they met, the jock skipped showing up for a group project, leaving the work for the nerd. As far as first impressions go... not ideal. I needed a quick and easy read after screaming and worrying too much about my last book. This novella was the right choice. But that's all it is. A nice, quick read but nothing I will dwell on. Still, will try to actually get through the series this year.
