Ali Hazelwood always amazes me. It was a very light read, which made me laugh and giggle A LOT, but still addressed many important topic regarding STEM. This book made me fall in love with all of the characters especially Bee (and Levi obviously). The balance between the science and the romance plot was perfect. Highly recommend this book!

Ich habe bereits „The Love Hypothesis” und „Love, Theoretically” von Ali Hazelwood gelesen und beide Bücher sehr gemocht. Das wissenschaftliche bzw. akademische Setting, Power-Frauen und insbesondere Ali Hazelwoods Schreibstil sind einfach fantastisch. 🩷 Das Buch steigert sich von Kapitel zu Kapitel und macht es immer schwerer mit dem Lesen aufzuhören! 🤩 Auch wenn man argumentieren könnte, dass sich Ali Hazelwoods Bücher alle sehr ähneln, bleibt der Spaß am Lesen keineswegs auf der Strecke ✨ Bee ist eine tolle Hauptcharakterin, unfassbar schlau, extrem sympathisch und vorallem sehr unterhaltsam! 🌞 Levi dagegen ist anfangs wirklich schwer zu deuten, aber spätestens als man ihn im Büro über Bee reden hört weiß man eigentlich, was hinter seiner Fassade steckt. 🫣 Der Slowburn ist hier wirklich toll, nicht zuu slow aber auch nicht zu schnell, eigentlich perfekt! 🙏🏼 Diesen Plottwist am Ende habe ich wirklich absolut nicht kommen sehen! 💀 Von mir eine ganz große Empfehlung! ♥️

Es ist eins meiner liebsten Ali Hazelwood Bücher, da ich die Neuro-Bezüge sehr liebe. Den Humor und die Vibes zwischen Bee und Levi habe ich sehr genossen. Die ganzen Nebenfiguren waren wie immer on point und die Kritik an der Behandlung von Frauen in der Wissenschaft so realisitisch.

Ich liebe die Protagonistin zu 100%. So sympathisch. Der Schreibstil ist jugendlich und erfrischend lustig und ironisch. Es gehört viel allgemein Wissen dazu dieses Buch lesen zu können und zu schreiben. Levis ist perfekt. Authentisch und real. Die Handlungen sind vorauszuahnen. Aber es geht weniger um das “Was passiert?”, sonder “Wie passiert es wohl?” Das macht das Buch super spannend. Ich könnte es nicht zur Seite legen. Die spice Szenen sind schön, intim und real.

Such a cute and fun RomCom! Bit too sciency for my liking and since I'm not a native speaker a few parts and conversations were a bit difficult to understand. But that's of course just a personal issue. I'm a huge fan of first person narration and therefore I found "Love on the brain" much more enjoyable to read than "The love hypothesis". I also think the cover illustration doesn't do Levi justice (he's a LOT hotter in my mind)

Boy obsessed trope will always be one of my favourite tropes. Combined with Ali's writing and some other great tropes this book was a really fun time. In my opinion it doesn't quite hold up to her other books on an emotional connection level, but otherwise I loved it. As always the characters were well rounded and the science aspect really intresting to read about. Levi is such a gem. The fact that he is vegan and kept cooking for Bee and giving her snacks all the time, I was sat.

2.7 ⭐️ I probably expected to much going into this book because I love tlh so much but this one just didn’t rly catch me. I loved Levi but I was kinda annoyed by Bee sometimes. The amount of times she said to Levi that HE hates HER made me sooo mad. It wasn’t a bad book but it didn’t make me feel butterflies.

Okay so this was fun. However it had its problems. Why do they keep talking about the height difference? What the fuck was this ending? And why is Bee so oblivious? But I enjoyed it nonetheless. It’s a fun little brainless read. Also I haven’t read other books by Ali hazelwood so I can’t compare it to the love hypothesis at all but that’s fine.

Bee ist eine liebenswerte wandelnde Katastrophe, die zu ihrem Charakter der tollpatischgkeit und zu ihr selbst komplett steht. auch wenn sie manchmal den Wald vor lauter Bäumen nicht erkennt. Wohingegen der verschlossene Levis keine Ahnung hat welche Signale er nach außen sendet. Zusammen mit dem ungewöhnlichen Academia/NASA Setting und der tollen Schreibweise der Autorin entsteht eine süchtig machende Geschichte die man nicht mehr weg legen möchte. Die Charakterentwicklungen, der eingebrachte Humor sowie die überraschenden Handlungsstränge tuen ihr übriges auf wundervollen Weise! Absolute Leseempfehlung 😊

I was delaying reading this book for mny reasons, first, I wasn’t a fan of Ali Hazelwood's writing style, second, I didn’t understand half of the story in the beginning, the names were so hard to read, some words were not explained, like it a common knowledge we should all have. But what urged me to read it were, 1) I really liked levi and bee together, 2) I loved bee's hair color and how savage she is, 3) I wanted to take one more book off of my TBR, 4) I wanted to read the third book but I couldn’t not read the second book. I loved the way levi loved bee, how he made love to her, how he found her irresistible, how he, even when he thought she was married, loved her so much it was hurting him to even loook at her because he thought she was the most beautiful woman, and he couldn’t even have her

Ali Hazelwood has done it again. I am starting to feel, that you can do no wrong with a book by Ali Hazelwood. I grabbed this book in need of something cute, fun and humorous. And I got it all. I loved the story and I loved the characters. Their chemistry was great and it had me kicking my feet here and there. Ali Hazelwood knows how to combine science with humour and a cute lovestory. I adore her style of storytelling, it just reads so easy. Even though the end was a little predictable, it still kept me hooked but didn't completely blow my mind. Nevertheless, I absolutely adore this book and loved it from page one to the very last. Go read it!

levi und bee - excuse me?! 🥹 auch wenn man vieles wieder vorhersehen konnte mochte ich die story drumherum so sehr. (es sind katzen involviert - how could you not?!) und dieses mal gabs sogar einen plottwist der mich überrascht hat. wünschte es gäbe mehr zu den beiden lovebirds.

Die Geschichte braucht etwas, um in Fahrt zu kommen, aber ich konnte einfach nicht anders, als sie zu lieben😭🫶. Bee ist so lustig und süß. Ich mochte ihre Eigenarten und ihre Liebe für die Wissenschaft🥰. Levi möchte man am Anfang am liebsten immer wieder durchschütteln, aber man merkt schnell, dass er eigentlich auch ein totaler Cutie ist. Die Liebesgeschichte war süß (diese Chatnachrichten😭❤️?!). Ja, es gibt einige Missverständnisse und die Entwicklung ist sehr vorhersehbar, aber das hat mir definitiv nicht den Spaß an der Geschichte genommen🤷‍♀️😍. Ich mochte auch die verschiedenen Nebencharaktere total gerne (und omg…Rocío und Kaylee… ich wusste nicht, wie sehr ich diese Liebesgeschichte gebraucht habe🥰🥹!). Und Lily und Penny waren auch so cute🫶. Ich mochte, wie das ganze mit BLINK verwoben war. Das Ende war dann nochmal ein bisschen spannend, wenn auch vorhersehbar und der Epilog dann einfach nur noch schön🥰. Meiner Meinung nach ein tolles Buch❤️. Es vereint Frauen in der Wissenschaft und he-falls-first mit tollen, interessanten und lustigen Charakteren. Ich bin ein großer Fan der Autorin🫶.

I really loved reading this book! I love women in STEM, Marie Curie, Star Wars, enemies to lovers and the witty and funny way of Ali Hazelwoods writing. The only critical note I want to add is that once again I noticed what beauty standards still prevail for men. This does not (only) refer to this book, but I simply (rather accidentally) noticed while reading, that I have not yet read a romance book in which a male main character is either fat / plus sized or particularly thin / not muscular. If anyone has recommendations for positive representation in books let me know, I would love to see it!

Ich muss sagen die meisten Plottwists des Buches hatte ich sehr früh erahnt und war nicht sehr überrascht über die reveals am Ende. Levi und Bee‘s Beziehung zueinander hat mich nicht so sehr in den Bann gezogen wie bspw. Adam & Olive in Love Hypothesis. Anschließend kann man sagen: Es ist ein quick read, aber es hat mich nicht so sehr mitgenommen wie andere Hazelwood-Werke. Medium pacing

5+⭐ First and foremost, let's just enjoy the fact that Bee and Levi both are vegans, what made Levi the PERFECT bookboyfriend I didn't know I was looking for. If my future husband isn't like Levi (charcterwise!, more on that below) I seriously don't want him (just kidding oc). He's literally the perfect man. Kind, understanding, respectful, communicative, a food cook, funny (and vegan). Like when he rescued Bee from that graveyard, how he made sure she was and felt safe. And later on, when she went through his cupboards... And how he brought homemade snacks to the lab... I can't. I'm in love with these too. Anyways, Ali Hazelwood's writing style and characters were literally amazing. Plot and writing had me hooked from the first until the last page. I appreciated that a lot, as sometimes the last few chapters of a book are kind of dragging on. However, no bits of boredom in this one! She gave us so much details about the characters which made me truly connect with them: fighting against mansplaining and cockclusters, female empowerment, feedind (imaginary) cats and hummingbirds, sharing food, the inner monologues, Rocios and Kaylees love story, Marie Curie... The list goes on haha. Plus, let's not forget about the fact that she made neuroscience and engendering interesting to someone (aka me) who knows exactly nothing about these fields. The one and only thing I was a little "annoyed" with, is that every single male love interest has a broad chest, is incredibly tall, has the physics of a greek god, a chiseled jawline... You get my point I guess. Why? We pretty much loosened the traditional female beauty standards (at least in books). However, the male characters appreance is still clinging to it like their lifes belong on it. Don't get me wrong, I'm totally here for a buildt bicep and sharp jawline, but why does it has to bee in EVERY SINGLE (no, I'm not exaggerating) romance book. Of course, boys / mans don't really read this type of books, but wouldn't it maybe be making them feel insecure about their appearance? Considering that this classic, oftentimes unrealistic beauty standards make the life of us humans harder in so many ways? Hence, it would be refreshing to read about a "less perfect" love interest, which would make them so much more relatable. Because let's be real 90% (probably more) of man in real life do not look like they are described in books. Anyways, that's not an "issue" I have with Ali Hazelwood's books particularly or something that has been bothering me while reading. It's just something I had in my mind for quite a while and wanted to get oth there. Last but not least, I love how much of her own personality Ali Hazelwood hid in this book. Such as living im different countries, running, cats, neuroscience... It made the story so much more personal to us readers. Thank you for that. But to summarize this probably wayyy to long review. Ali Hazelwood you're amazing. Please never stop what you're doing and spoil us with more Levis !

4 ⭐️ 8/10 Questo libro mi è piaciuto di più rispetto a The Love Hypothesis, perché ho trovato i personaggi molto più divertenti e adorabili rispetto ad Adam e Olive (adorabile, nerd intelligentoni ... in senso positivo). Ovviamente non ci sono colpi di scena clamorosi (tranne uno alla fine), ma non riguarda i protagonisti della storia. Il resto è storia. Non c'è molto altro da dire. Tranne se volete della dolcezza fatta in libro.

As a woman in STEM, I really enjoyed reading about a woman in STEM - even though Bee sometimes got on my nerves by not seeing the obvious, you can’t not like her. And Levi? He‘s everything you could ever dream of. There were many funny parts, but sometimes the humor felt too forced. And in my opinion the ™ symbol was used a bit too much. Also I thought that I already figured what the plot is gonna be in the first chapter or so… well I was (partially) wrong and I liked it! But the ending was too rushed. It's a good book for a change of pace. But this book definitely made me feel seen as a woman in STEM.

Wie bin ich auf dieses Buch aufmerksam geworden? Ich habe von der Autorin "The Love Hypothesis" gelesen und war so begeistert von ihrem humorvollen Schreibstil und der Naturwissenschaften-Thematik (und die Rolle der Frauen darin), dass ich dieses Buch unbedingt lesen musste! Um was geht es? Bee kommt aus Deutschland, hat einen Doktortitel und arbeitet in Amerika im Bereich der Neurowissenschaften. Sie wird für drei Monate zur NASA in Houston geschickt, um ihre Kenntnisse in den Bau eines Astronautenhelms einzubauen. Sie bekommt einen Ingenieur zur Seite gestellt und es handelt sich um niemand geringeren als Levi, ihr Feind zu Schulzeiten. Er ging ihr damals immer aus dem Weg, zeigte ihr die kalte Schulter und es wurde in den Laboren zum Running-Gag, dass Levi Bee abstoßend findet. Nun darf sie mit ihm zusammenarbeiten, was weder ihr noch ihm so recht passt. Der Anfang ist schwierig, jedoch merken sie mit der Zeit, dass die Abneigung einen triftigen Grund hatte und sie jetzt die Chance auf einen Neuanfang bekommen... Meine Meinung Ich habe das Buch sehr genossen, auch wenn es für mich nicht ganz an "The Love Hypothesis" herankommen konnte. Die Geschichte wird aus Bees Sicht in der Ich-Perspektive erzählt. Das gefiel mir gut, weil ich mich so besser in sie hineinversetzen konnte. Aber so ein paar Kapitel aus Levis Sicht hätten mich auch interessiert. Das Thema Frauen und Wissenschaft wird hier gut aufgegriffen und ich kann mir vorstellen, dass es nicht einfach ist, sich in solch einer Männerdomäne zurechtzufinden und sich einen respektablen Platz zu erarbeiten. Ob das heutzutage auch noch so ist? Ich hoffe es nicht! Ich mochte sowohl Bee als auch Levi sehr gerne. Sie sind schlau, humorvoll, aber auch sensibel und emotional. Alles in allem ein tolles Buch mit ernsten, aber auch vielen lustigen Momenten! Ich freue mich schon darauf, mehr von der Autorin zu lesen (habe nämlich noch zwei Bücher von ihr auf meinen Stapel ungelesener Bücher)!

4 out of 5 stars ⭐ I really don't get all the 1 star haters to be honest. Is it a masterpiece? No. But I tell you what it is: a funny, spicy-ish romance. An easy summer read for in between. I had to laugh so much; some scenes were just to funny. Can I adopt Mareike & Rocio? Loving their humour. This book even has some suspense going on at the end.

I loved this book just as much as I loved the love hypothesis. It's just always a really fun time reading her books. I love how she manages to write light-hearted romance stories while still talking about really important topics in a funny but so relatable way. Women in STEM: badass and treated so unfairly. What else to expect in a mainly men dominated field. Ali Hazelwood manges to explain all sorts of different concepts on how women are systematically downplayed and excluded in a way that had me laughing out loud, while thinking this is painful accurate. Not just relatable to women working in STEM but women in general that work with men. My only criticism is that the end was a little unrealistic in my opinion. I think it was written with the thought in mind to be funny and not really realistic so I can look over that but I would have wished for something a little bit less "out of space". Really excited for her next romance book coming out in the fall of 2023. :)

Es war das erste Buch dieser Kategorie, das ich gelesen habe und es war ziemlich süß. Das wissenschaftliche Setting hat mir gut gefallen. Bee war für meinen Geschmack am Anfang etwas klischeehaft, hat sich aber im Laufe der Geschichte zu einer sehr liebenswerten Person entwickelt. Gegen Ende wurde es dann unnötig dramatisch und, wenn man bedenkt, dass das so drin war, viel zu schnell abgehandelt, was irgendwie nicht richtig war. Alles in allem war es eine nette Erfahrung und hat mich neugierig auf mehr gemacht.
