I've found my sweet spot for fantasy: sassy dragons! The scenes with Tairn and Andarna were my favourites by far. They really saved this book for me! However, I feel like this part of the series was overall less refined than the first book. The way relationships and emotions were discussed in this book, especially the first half, felt a little repetitive to me and as if the book was aimed at younger readers than the first one. I would have prefered a bit more editing and less action and world-building cramped into a single book, but I did have a fun time reading the second half, so I understand why people love the book.

“Me, you should be scared of me.” WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK?!?! - Speechless. Absolutely speechless. This book series has my heart. I truly enjoyed and loved this whole story again like fourth wing! I don’t even know where to begin, I laughed, I kicked my feet, I cried the shit out of me and many more emotions were evolved. First I must say the moment Varrish were killed I was the happiest person ever, I had such an hatred against him it was unbelievable. He first punished Violet and almost killed her because Andarna didn’t showed up to fly maneuvers and then tortured her for days?! This was too much. The whole time he was such an annoying prick. As if it wasn’t enough heartbreaking when Liam was mentioned in Iron Flame, the Drip. Drip. Drip. part with Violet having hallucinations that Liam was there when she was tortured, it broke my heart in thousand pieces- “I’m not wandering, Violet, I’m exactly where I need to be” -Liam
