I used to clean other people's houses―now, I can't believe this home is actually mine. The charming kitchen, the quiet cul-de-sac, the huge yard where my kids can play. My husband and I saved for years to give our children the life they deserve. Even though I'm wary of our new neighbor Mrs. Lowell, when she invites us over for dinner it's our chance to make friends. Her maid opens the door wearing a white apron, her hair in a tight bun. I know exactly what it's like to be in her shoes. But her cold stare gives me chills… The Lowells' maid isn't the only strange thing on our street. I'm sure I see a shadowy figure watching us. My husband leaves the house late at night. And when I meet a woman who lives across the way, her words chill me to the bone: Be careful of your neighbors. Did I make a terrible mistake moving my family here? I thought I'd left my darkest secrets behind. But could this quiet suburban street be the most dangerous place of all?
Dayum bro😭. A new series has come to an end. This Story follows Millie, Enzo and their kids Nico and Ada. This review has spoilers‼️. The review probably isn’t going to be that long. First of all, I also liked this book, it was interesting and I enjoyed reading it. But if I’m being honest the first two books would’ve been enough. I didn’t get 'hooked' on this book as fast as in the other two books. It made me really happy that Enzo and Millie are still together and have two kids cause I’m an Enzo x Millie shipper🙈. However, with the way they were acting (especially Enzo) just wanted me to rip my hair out😭😭. It really frustrated me at times. Cause I really really liked Enzo since the very start we got introduced to him so I hated that he was so suspicious and that I kind of doubted him. We got the weird neighbor Janice (she put her kid on a fucking leash everytime😃) and we got the other neighbors Suzette and Jonathan Lowell and their Maid Martha. Janice was so annoying and such a busybody. I didn’t like Martha at first since she was very very weird but it turned out that she wasn’t the villain is this story but the victim of an abusive husband who wanted Enzo’s and Millie’s help. Suzette didn’t turn out to be the main villain, Jonathan did. She was definitely an accomplice though. Turns out, Jonathan was the one who killed that one kid who disappeared and everyone who kept talking about him. Nico got under his fangs too, and was locked in this room in the staircase as well, but luckily nothing 'too bad' happened to him (like getting killed😭). Turns out that Ada was the murderer all along (she’s 11 btw) so yeahhh the story definitely took a turn there. She didn’t initially want to kill him but wanted to talk to him to get revenge for Nico so get it I guess. Suzette ended up in jail cause she ‘falsely' confessed, Martha escaped from her abusive husband with the help of Enzo, Enzo is outta jail (cause he got arrested for the murder) and the whole family is safe and sound back home. So I’m glad it got a kind of a happy ending. Also a plot twist was that Cecilia (the daughter from the first book) turned out to be Enzo’s and Millie’s Lawyer🫣 and that Officer Ramirez (the friend Millie made in book 2) ended up kind of dating Nina Winchester aka Cecilia’s Mother and the woman from the first book🙈. Would definitely recommend this series, it was very enjoyable. I think I’ll definitely check out some other books by the author sometime in the future.
