In the Prologue was written: "There is a 50/50 chance you’ll have a good time reading it. Good luck." And depending on what you expect, I would have had a great time. It was fast paced and the world building wasn't really important. I just wanted a nice romance with a little bit of spice. And that's what I got! Sometimes I thought the wording was a little off, but all in all, a great book!

Look, I read the warning about the book being just fast paced. With minimal world building, no magical system, no background plot. What bothered me after reading was the NO BIG VILLAIN part. I was hoping Ora was a bigger villain than she was made out to be. I needed a bit of thrill from her. Not a big one obviously, but a bit more than what she offered. The romance was fine. The spicy scenes were okay.

Also all in all fand ich die Idee ganz nice. Fated mates die sich 12 Jahre lang nur durch Briefe kennenlernen, Fantasy Setting, Fae… Und natürlich spice. Aber ey, da sind so ein paar Handlungsstränge und Charaktereigenschaften drin wo ich echt sagen muss: What the fuck am I reading?😂 Da werden literally Leute ermordert nur aus Eifersucht und jeder is irgendwie fein damit? Hä? Geht‘s denen gut??? Ziemlich toxic ehrlich gesagt. Für einen schnellen Read ganz nett, aber es ist schon ziemlich hanebüchen, muss ich ganz ehrlich sagen. Naja. Müsst ihr wissen😬

I loved and INHALED this book! This book single handily freed me from my reading slump. Please not, that I’m a sucker for fast paced, instantaneous lovey-dovey romantasies. Overall I loved Rennick! Obsessed, all consumingly in love and violent men are my new comfort lol ⚠️ Please check the trigger warning before reading this book ⚠️

Ich habe von dem Buch über Instagram erfahren und es hat mich positiv überrascht. Ich dachte erst, dass das Buch ein reines Fantasybuch ist, aber am Anfang wird direkt klargestellt, dass es Romance mit ein bisschen Plot ist. Muss man mögen. Ein großes world building findet hier nicht statt- wurde aber auch nicht versprochen.

For anyone who read ACOTAR and thought hey, I would love this but without the extensive world building and with more smut... please do yourself a favour and read this book. Did I read random quotes to my husband without any context and confused the f out of him? Yes. Did I make ungodly noises that didn't even come out of me when I was giving birth? Also yes. (No worries, to everyone's surprise, my husband is still with me and just shakes his head at my weird behavior) What else? Oh, tropes! - H is a fae prince, h is human - virgin H, inexperienced h - he feels her emotions (including when she... enjoys herself) - possessive af “Everyone has a moral line they won’t cross. I don’t need a line to know what’s considered good or bad, but if I did, there isn’t a line I wouldn’t cross for you.” (RIP me)

Ich liebe es, dass beide Charaktere so obsessed miteinander sind. Habe das Buch durch TikTok gefunden und hätte mir gewünscht, dass es noch mehr Seiten hat aber 🤷🏻‍♀️ trotzdem gutes Buch. Habe es auf Kindle Unlimited gelesen aber werde definitiv noch eine Kopie für den Bücherschrank bestellen 🫶🏻
