With themes of motherhood, feminism and folklore this should have been a great book for me. Escpecially surrounding it all with horses (yehaaw) But it only picked up for me after 5 hours !! of listening to it. The first half of the book was so boring and could have been done in like 2. I didnt care about most of the people and it was kinda confusing with so many. I think if I had read it that would been easier. The concept was a really great idea and I did like the ending. Plus some nice lines but will have forgotten them in a few hours... I did hope for more horror than it was. It got only became spooky in like the last hour or so. But not much.
