I loved “The One” by John Marrs, which is why my standards and expectations might’ve been too high. “The Family Experiment” was such a fun concept, especially the Reality TV aspect of it. I just feel like it was overly descriptive when it didn’t need to be, in the sense that not much was left to the reader’s imagination. On top of that, I had problems telling the contestants apart for the first half. I really liked the pacing and the ending, though.
