The first book was slightly better, but it was still great. Can‘t wait for the third & final book! 🥰 Loved the journal format & I‘m also a fan of the footnotes, I just love how serious Emily it takes (just as in the first book) 🥰 Still love what a strong & clever heroine Emily is 🥰 loved the new creatures & the new insights into the fairy world 🫠 there is only one scene in a tent where the author cuts the action off & I wanted to scream because Emily writes about everything with so much detail but exact this she would leave out?? 🥰 I‘m a huge fan of Snowball

Hier hatte ich doch Anfangs Schwierigkeiten in den zweiten Teil zu kommen. Als ich dann angekommen bin, war dieser Teil, wie schon der erste eine süße aber spannende Geschichte. Ich habe das Gefühl, dass wir hier etwas weniger Emily und Wendell Interaktionen bekommen haben, was ich schade finde, die beiden sind super cute, da hätte ich mir etwas mehr gewünscht. Es wurde mehr auf das Abenteuer fokussiert und hier und da gab es schon mal Szenen, die ich persönlich als langweiliger empfunden habe aber alles in einem ein gutes zweites Buch!

⤷‧₊˚1⭑ || dnf @31% after giving the first book 3 stars, it doesn't surprise me that i'm not a fan of this. i had a lot of trouble getting myself into the story and not drifting off. there are times when i just switch off and have to reread the pages because i can't concentrate. this is clearly not for me, and i think that was proof enough not to read anything by this author again.
