It feels a bit juvenile. Although the story is still captivating, the character development is missing and the first half was a bit boring
Weeeeelll I love Einar very much and I love those great side characters but I cannot decide if I like the FMC. Sometimes she is fierce and sassy and I’m all here for that but sometimes she is just so damn dumb and naive that want to throttle her….😩 We travel to new places and get more POVs and therefore see more of the world - it is definitely not a boring 2. book - so I appreciate that. But there is still this problem that I can foresee problems and plot twist so easy AND even though I like that it’s not ending in a bad cliffhanger - I don’t like that all the conflicts are solved so fast. In short: The stakes promise to build up high- just to crumble very fast …..Yes, we have the overall “light against shadow conflict” which drives the plot but I’m just not surprised or caught off guard with anything. I just think that this world and therefore the plot has got so much more potential. I will read book 3 though. So 3,5 stars it is.
