Poppy and Josh are amazing characters. Poppy knows what she wants and is really ambitious. She is a heartwarming person and Josh is absolutely perfect for her. He is the golden retriever type of man and I would definitely fall for him too! He is the soul of Mystic Falls and selfless - but he is also reflected and honest. They both are true to themselves and to each other - with that, there wasn't this dramatic fight and break-up we know from almost every famous romance book.
