I had a good time reading this book. I really like the FMC a lot and the found family trope in this book. But what was really giving me the ick was that after their first kiss I feel like our FMC forgets who she is and in the MMC’s presence she becomes a shadow. Maybe it’s the writing or pacing but even the author doesn’t want her to be a damsel - her FMC quite becomes one and is saved by him. The pacing is a general problem in this book. A lot of plot is too fast paced, conflicts are resolved so fast that I couldn’t take them serious and that’s a big problem. I was really waiting for a good plot twist but the one she offered was so uninspired and boring. I think you can have a good time with the story and the overall background story is intriguing. But I wasn’t scared for these characters, not really involved - because the conflicts were dealt without a lot of care and suspense. Oh and there is a huge violent scene that is described very vividly - also not for everyone. I skipped some stuff because it was just gore and blood. I won’t continue this series but if you just want some light reading - with a hot MMC - go for it.

I LOVED EVERY SECOND OF IT!! It had twists and Moments I didn’t see coming. For one second I was like HA I’m sure this will happen and then it a took a full turn and all my theories were gone again. It was amazing. The anxiety felt so real I really felt represented in that way. The found family trope always hits and they all have my heart. And Cayden oh Cayden another book boyfriend. Absolutely in love with this one. I’m glad I read the indie version and I’m super excited for the version that comes out this year! You should not miss it if you like six of crows, acotar, fourth wing and also game of thrones. THIS IS A HIT!
