'Love has a sound. It sounds like a thousand heartbeats happening at the same time.'
Main Characters: Annika & Lennox Setting: Kardier & Dahrain Series: it’s a standalone ———————————— This book had everything I want in a perfect read. Every page felt like a masterpiece. It’s not quite my life’s highlight, but definitely a top read of the year. The amount of death really shocked me. I didn’t expect it, and most of them broke my heart. The betrayal hit hard, but the ending was unbelievably sweet. Every quote was spot-on. I loved how it mixed medieval vibes with romance, humor, and real sadness. That balance is hard, but it worked so well. I’d started this book once and gave up – no clue why. It’s honestly perfect. The two main characters had my heart, and I felt every emotion with them. After this, finding something better will be tough. ———————————— SUMMARY: Annika has lived a life of comfort and luxury as the Princess of Kadier-but now, after the death of her mother, she's weighted under the looming threat of a loveless marriage arranged by her cold father.
