Wie schon der Vorgänger: emotional, spannend und einfach nur toll! Die Charaktere sind so liebevoll und vielschichtig gezeichnet, dass man sich ihnen sofort verbunden fühlt. Besonders gefallen hat mir, dass die Geschichte wieder mitten im Mafia-Universum spielt, aber komplett eigenständig funktioniert – und dabei trotzdem das große Ganze weiterführt. 💬 Man bekommt seinen Mafia-Fix – und noch viel mehr: Gefühl, Tiefe, Spannung. Das Worldbuilding zieht sich wie ein roter Faden durch die Reihe, und je mehr man liest, desto größer wird die Sehnsucht nach dem nächsten Band. Es fühlt sich fast so an, als würde man selbst Teil dieser düsteren, gefährlichen und zugleich faszinierenden Welt werden. Fazit: Broken Whispers ist ein weiterer Volltreffer. Wer Band 1 geliebt hat, wird auch diesen Teil nicht aus der Hand legen wollen. Für Fans von Dark Romance und starken, verletzlichen Figuren – eine klare Leseempfehlung!

I never felt so alone after reading this book, I wished it was 100 pages longer. I never thought that a dark romance series, could be a comfort series. Let me tell you about the story of Mikhail and Bianca that had me utterly captivated from the very first page. Mikhail, the broken hero, brings a depth to the story that’s just so compelling, and Bianca’s character complements him perfectly. Empfehlung ❤️ Mafia-Romanze. Arrangierte Ehe. Er kann Berührungen schwer ertragen, sie kann nicht sprechen. Sehr viel knisternde Anziehungskraft, heiße Szenen. Age Gap. Blut. Mir hat der zweite Band wesentlich besser gefallen als der erste. Im ersten Band kam es mir etwas gehetzt vor wegen der Kürze des Buches. Das fand ich jetzt im zweiten Band richtig stimmig und keineswegs gehetzt! Die Proragonisten sind beide voller Tension füreinander und charakterlich schon sehr reif. Beide haben unglaublich traurige Schicksalsschläge erlitten. Beide leiden im Stillen und können sich so gut verstehen. Ich liebe wieder, dass wir eine sehr starke Protagonistin haben.

I was looking around for some single dad romances, since that is all I am in the mood for atm, and this book got recommend in a BookTube video I saw. The cover + synopsis spoke to me, so I tried it out right away. This book is pt. 2 of a series. I haven't read the first book in the series, but I do believe you can read the books out of order (but be sure I downloaded the next book in the series right away!). The tropes you can expect from this book are: dark/broody hero, single dad, arranged marriage, forced proximity. We also have a deaf main character who communicates in ASL, which I loved! And of course, let's not forgot a possessive main hero with a tortured past who I won't forget about for weeks! I loved how their relationship developed, and one of the only complaints I have is that I would've loved to see more from them and their domestic live together. All in all, this author has won over a new fan with this book! I started the first book in the series right away, and I am quickly becoming hooked!
