Dies ist bereits mein drittes Buch von Emezi und der Schreibstil konnte mich wieder komplett überzeugen. Ich mochte die Beschreibungen und die komplexe Gefühlswelt der Figuren unglaublich gerne. Dies war eine völlig unvorhersehbare Liebesgeschichte, die ich in der Form noch nicht gelesen habe. Ich liebe es auch sehr, dass er Titel eine Liedzeile von Florence + the Machine ist.

Tbh I wasn't feeling the romance but the writing and language is so beautiful. I'm sure if I loved the romance aspect, it would've been a 5 star read

The cover is gorgeous and the premise sounded interesting but after reading some reviews this has a huge age gap romance which I'm not interested in. Additionally the author reads negative reviews on here and Amazon and then complains about them on Twitter which makes me want to not read anything by them. I don't need that kind of drama in my life.
It was fun in the beginning, a miss towards the end. Too dramatic for my taste, felt like a Bollywood movie unfolding after a point with the characters the author wanted for you to empathize fleshed out while others were just one-dimensional with no feelings at all. Don't get me wrong, all love for Feyi but how a certain situation was handled just took away the entire story/ book from me. P.S. Hated all the time Feyi was called 'SWEETNESS'
