Okay this was GREAT. I read it within a day, it was a lot of fun. This is how I like my mafia romance. Ugh everything about this was great. I loved Angelo so much and the way Rory got more and more confident was just great. The ONLY thing I hated, and I mean HATED about it were the stupid bird-swearwords. You’re not a child, swear or don’t but not like that. Especially when it’s in a sexual context?! Like… just no. Please. I can’t enjoy the smut when there’s bird-words in there just no. Everything else however was sooo good and I enjoyed it soo much!! Totally recommend!

I loved this book. The characters, the stories. It was just perfect. The chemistry between the main characters was soooo good and the tension was crazy. I’m in love with Angelo now. He’s the perfect dark book boyfriend. He unalives so many men for her and that’s exactly what I’m here for hahahha. To my surprise it wasn’t as spicy as I thought but the tension between Angelo and aurora was to die for. How they had the whole “no touching just looking” pact was unlike anything else I’ve ever read before. Especially the Halloween scene had some crazy tension going on. I was sooooo happy once they finally got together at the end of the book and once big fat Alberto was finally dead. All in all an amazing book if you love dark perfect book boyfriends who would (and do) kill for their girl.

Ich hatte zu Beginn Probleme, in die Geschichte reinzukommen. Aber je mehr ich gelesen habe, desto mehr obsessed wurde ich. Rory und Angelo sind ein tolles Paar. Die Anziehung war von Anfang an zu spüren und ich fand es sehr erfrischend, dass ein Dark Romance Buch nicjt unnötig viel Spice hat. Bin gespannt auf die nächsten Bücher!

Ich habe das Buch in wenigen Tagen regelrecht verschlungen, so sehr hat es mich gefesselt! Die Geschichte zwischen Angelo und Rory ist ein wahres Liebesabenteuer – intensiv, aufregend und voller Leidenschaft. Die Handlung überrascht immer wieder mit unvorhergesehenen Wendungen und enthüllt Details nach und nach, sodass man nie alles sofort weiß und das Geheimnisvolle bleibt. Die Charaktere sind wunderbar ausgearbeitet und tragen jeder auf seine Weise dazu bei, die Geschichte lebendig und spannend zu machen. Man kann sich alles so gut vorstellen, dass es fast wie ein Film vor dem inneren Auge abläuft. Allerdings war das Ende eine kleine Überraschung, denn auf den letzten Seiten geht es richtig zur Sache: intensive Emotionen, tiefe Liebesbekundungen und viel körperliche Spannung! Das hat dazu geführt, dass das Finale sich fast ein bisschen gedrängt anfühlt. Der Anfang nimmt sich Zeit, Spannung und Atmosphäre aufzubauen, während die letzten Kapitel sehr viel auf einmal bieten. Insgesamt ist es eine düstere, spannende Geschichte, die berührt und überrascht – perfekt für alle, die sich nach einem intensiven und leidenschaftlichen Liebesroman mit einer Prise Gefahr sehnen.

Dieses Buch war ein Wahnsinniger Achterbahn der Gefühle. Immer wieder hat mich die neue Ereignisse überrascht und zur teils verwirrt. Viele Geheimnisse wurden auch erst später gelüftet, welches ich nicht aushalten konnte dies zu erfahren. Das Ende hingegen sich hat mich überrascht zurück gelassen. Will jetzt unbedingt wissen wie es weiter geht. Zu den Charaktere. Angelo is ein typischer mad man mit dem Herz eines sweet man. Man merkte, dass er Rory von Tag eins auf im Blick hatte. Dennoch hat mich manche seiner Handlungen verwirrt und genervt. Rory hab ich am Anfang auch nicht verstanden. Ihre Gründe und Ziele würden sich später erklärt, was mir nicht so ein richtig Gefühl gegeben hat was ich über sie denken soll. Das Buch bekommt von mir 4 Sterne, weil mich die Aufklärung zu lange gedauert hat und ich gestruggelt habe es zu verstehen 😭 (bin auch langsam mit englischen) aber definitiv ein Buch zum lesen wert.

oh girl, i would too, if angelo visconti is about to get me out of the sh*t 😭 this book was EVERYTHING. i absolutely loved it. the start was a bit weird and confusing, so i’m taking off half a star, but after all, it was an amazing read. absolutely adored rory and her bird-swearing, and i marked like half the book just with the things angelo said about rory 🧎🏼‍♀️‍➡️

(Read this in May, forgot to add the review here) [Even if it's of the short and inconsequential side of reviews] This was goooooood. Most Dark Mafia Romances have this rushed, too much too soon feeling to it and it takes away all the anticipation and tension, but this was a slow burn done the finest way. Forbidden, tension-riddled, loophole-finding slow burn mafia romance I hadn't expected to find. This might very well be one of my favourites of this particular genre because of the tempo and the characters. I'm excited to see what the next part has in store and how the story progresses. Also, after reading a few reviews pointing out the similarities to Danielle Lori's The Sweetest Oblivion I have to agree, there are some, I still somehow think these similar scenes were better executed in Sinners Anonymous, thus I'm not mad about it. I'd also have to mention that these similarities mean scenes or traits the characters share (fair, the smoking scene almost is a carboncopy) not the entire storyline or setup or characters. Additionally, the story of the virgin* bride to old bastard in Mafia-context has been done and there'll always be similarities these stories share. To conclude; I didn't care. I enjoyed Sinners Anonymous, even a bit more than TSO, and the only thing I can say is if you like TSO and don't remember it by heart, you'll probably enjoy Sinners Anonymous as well.

3/5 ☆☆☆ Warum hat mich das so total an ein anderes Mafia-Romance-Buch erinnert, das ich schon mal gelesen hab? 😅 Gibts da einfach nicht so viel Variationsmöglichkeiten in dem Genre? 😀 Hat mich einmalig unterhalten, die Folgeteile werden aber wohl nicht bei mir einziehen. 🙂‍↔️

„You better know how to fly, because if you fall. I'm coming with you.“ This book had everything forbidden romance tension to die for Age gap Enemies-to-lovers Spice and many hot mafia man. I must admit the first third of the book was a bit hard for me to get through and it dragged a bit. But after those it just kept getting better and more captivating with each page. This book really delivered with som spicy tension. And even though the plot felt a bit rushed at some points I really enjoyed it. I sometimes had the feeling that, especially from Rory’s side, they had no real connection despite being super attracted to one another, because there was no real „bonding“ on a deeper and personal level than those two having sexual action with each other. We got some glimpses at parts and especially the nearer we got to the end, but I feel like it could have been more. But I really loved the whole idea of the book with sins as a theme and how they bonded over their sins. This was something special and I wish it would have been a bit more important and further executed. The spice scenes and tension between the two I must admit was exciting and trully captivating and just done perfectly. I totally enjoyed those parts and loved this. With a bit more personal and deeper moments between Angelo and Rory it would have been perfect! And I’m super hyped for the next book, especially after this ending!! 4

Habe schon so viel über die Reihe gelesen, war aber doch etwas enttäuscht von Band 1. Super langatmig und auch recht langweilig. Die Szenen mit Angelo und Rory waren immer ganz nett, aber sonst...das Ende war dann etwas besser, und ich konnte Angelo und Rory letztendlich doch ins Herz schließen. Etwas mehr Action, Spannung und Abwechslung wären im Großen und Ganzen aber nicht schlecht gewesen.

This book was all what I searched for in a dark romance trope. i loved Angelos obsession over Rory, which actually developed really fast. They stared of perfect and endet of even better. The little details where what I enjoyed the most. Like the pet names he called her, the confessions they made to each other and the supportive side Characters who also gave the readers always a way of empathizing with the situations. I would definitely recommend this book to every dark romance lover who is in search for a new read.
