Book 1: Meet your baker - glued to this. Although I felt that some chapters were a bit long, this book was really a lovely read and a great start to get to know the characters of Ashland. Book 2: A Batter of Life and Death - not glued to it as much as I was with the first book. Some passages fell a bit flat and some characters were poorly developed. Book 3: On Thin Icing - glued to it, mainly because I wanted to see where things were going with Carlos. Out of the three books in this book however, I felt that this story was the most rushed. Character development was still good, and I get that this was based on a three day weekend, but I would have liked it a little slower paced. Overall the whole idea of joining murder mysteries with baking/cooking is a fantastic idea, and I love the assorted recipes in the back of the books. Will certainly try a few. Can‘t wait to get my hands on the next Books. 10/10 would recommend.
