Was passiert hier? Kurz gesagt: nichts. Der Titel sagt schon alles. Wirre Gespräche, keine richtige Handlung und das war es dann nach zum Glück sehr wenigen Seiten auch schon. Ja, man kann jede Menge reininterpretieren, aber um auf die Auslegungen zu kommen, die man so online findet und die dem Werk mehr Bedeutung geben können, muss man schon sehr frei interpretieren, würde ich sagen. Leider ein weiterer Fall von "steht halt auf der Leseliste für die Uni und outet mich als Kulturbanausin".

This is the first classic I read in English, and surprisingly I enjoyed it a lot! I thought that the language used in classics would be kind of hard to read for me, as English isn't my first language, but I had few difficulties, which was great. I love plays in general, and this plot and these characters left room for a lot of interpretation, which I always love. What are the characters really waiting for? Who or What is Godot? Will he/it eventually come? I guess everyone has to find that out for him-/herself. I did like the book, and it was a good start into the world of the massive classics-list I have yet to conquer for my English class. 4/5 stars
