FINISHED IT IN A COUPLE OFF HOURS AND DAMNN I LOVED THEM!! EVELINA IS THE GIRLLL !!! PERIODDD🤭
i’m really in love with the fmc,she was literally so hot
Emily never disappoints. LOVED IT
Way better than book 2
I enjoyed that pretty much!
I don’t know what I’ve just read, it felt like 90% smut, 5% trauma and 5% plot. I have to admit it had potential but somehow not even the cute scenes were it for me, normally I would be thriving in that shit but this book just didn’t give me the feels. I’m happy to see a dominant woman for once and a man that is willing to give up control, but the setup was not the best
“You love it.” “I don’t.” I do.
I am obsessed and in love with the book, the story and the characters! Nick and Evelina absolutely stole my heart. This book was recommended to me because I have been looking for a book where she is the villain and I was not disappointed at all. The chapters have the perfect length and the writing style is so fluent you practically fly through the pages. I think I will also look into the other books of this series.

i’m really in love with the fmc,she was literally so hot
Emily has done it again. Absolute perfection.
While I liked the reverse stereotype where the FMC is the morally grey one instead of the MCM, that's about the only thing the book does well. Everything else is rather average. Despite that, I think this book is the best one in the series, even though it wasn't exceptional in any way. The characters are relatively interesting despite being predictable. The smut is also better than the other books.
It isn’t a surprise anymore that Emily knows what she’s doing. And she did, indeed, deliver again. This series is so unbelievably awesome. It’s incredible. I read the second book right on release day because of an ad on instagram. And devoured it. I immediately started the first one. Just like the second one - impeccable. And then I waited patiently (or not so much) for the series to continue. I expected something good after the work of art, that where the first two books in the Never After Series. And now despite having absolutely no time, i finally read the next one. And it was just as amazing, if not better than it’s previous books. I am weak for female empowerment. Give me a female mc that has some backbone and guts and i will read the shit out of the book. And with Evelina as our heroine we got everything we could want. She is fierce, she has sass, she is intelligent. She stands her ground against anyone who doubts her and makes it clear to everyone to better not cross her. The kind of woman I love reading about. And Emily did a perfect job writing her. And not only her, our love interest and male mc is far from being badly written too. Nicholas. Brayden. No matter your name - you slayed. Emily found a way to show his shifting morals and was able to make his journey realistic. Writing about an agent, working against the bad guys and have him fall in love with a woman far from having a clean record, is not easy. You can do it, but is it believable? With Emily’s talent it is. So to keep it short - I love the shit out of our main characters. For fucks sake they bonded over poetry combined with gun play! Is there something better than that? He is her calm. She is his chaos. They are each other’s opposite. And like magnets - opposites attracts. They were unable to get along just to be unable to be away from each other in the end. I was rooting to hard for them. And their story. They have an insider line damn it. I love such things! But the secondary characters weren’t bad too. The opposite actually. I loved Seth. I loved Rose. We didn’t see much of them, but what we got convinced me - they are great. The same goes for Ezekiel! His journey was really interesting. And for all the other ones. I hated them, which was the intention, so well done too! Coming to the next point on our agenda of things, I need to discuss. It’s no surprise that Emily McIntire knows her way around writing awesome sex and everything smutty. And with this book she did not disappoint in the slightest. I’m her previous books we had some wax play. We had breath control. I know introduce to you: the spitting kink. That’s not it for you? Trust me, let Emily do her magic. She can and has proofen her ability to write sex scenes that are awesome several times now and it’s not any different with Wretched. It’s hot and well written and did I mention hot as hell? And her characters have tension to die for. Which makes it even more fantastic. No matter the scene - You won’t find a bad written sentence in her books. Or a scene. The only weird thing in this is the fact that our hero was called Nicholas Woodsworth. That name is weird! But that’s all the weirdness you get. And her stories with this series are so unique. I love it. It’s always well paced - never boring or dragged on! The perfect length to keep you in a spell until the end, but not to short to make the story seem rushed or feel like parts where cut short. I devoured this in a few hours despite having a heavy schedule, but I was unable to stop. I was so invested in the story, it’s unbelievable. Enchanted by Evelin- and Nick. They didn’t let me go until the very end. Which I loved. Ending conflicts can be destroying. They can be stupid or unreasonable and make a great story bad. At least in my eyes. But the conflict here was done so good! It was somehow obvious, of course giving the plot, but still surprising and was able to make me feel for Eveline and Nick and I almost cried. The resolve in the end was relatively easy, but I’m not complaining. They deserved their happy ending. And then there were these small bits and pieces that just made me so happy like this story being inspired by Wizard of oz and the small hints to it in the book. It’s so perfect. If you have been sleeping on the awesomeness that is Emily McIntires Never After series, this is your wake up call. Go read it. You think dark romance is not yours? She will make you convert. 4.75
I love it really it is spicy so it isn't for everyone but I really enjoyed it and ate it up. I love how Evie is so smart and strong and just a badass and I love that she is like on the "bad" side and he is on the "good" side. The story is really interesting and I loved how he literally killed someone for her! I love Emily McIntire for writing this I love this whole series every book in this series I always ate up in like a day or two they are so good I would definitly recommend them!!!
It’s quite good but not as good as the first ☝
Not too sure about this book. I liked it but it didn't catch me to the fullest
4.8 ☆ „Bricks are meant for paths, yet somehow we’re always still. If there’s nothing for us in the now, then I know there never will. You belong in the light and mein poppies down below. Maybe one day we’ll meet again, on the other side of a rainbow“ This book is a perfect example of what i think a dark romance book should be. It’s really intense and still so romantic and beautiful. I loved evelina and nick/brayden sm they r both really interesting characters that I would love to read more about. ALSO THIS ENDING WAS INCREDIBLE I WAS SPEECHLESS NGL. But sadly some chapters really bored me which is basically the reason I didn’t have it 5 stars but it’s still amazing just not a 5 star read for me. It also hat so many beautiful quotes. Definitely my fav book in the series (so far) and will recommend it to anyone who wants to read dark romance ofc!
OMG. 100000/5 ⭐ "But if I'm her calm, then she is my chaos, and if I can't live with her forever, then I don't want to live at all." I am so attached to these characters. Nik has my whole heart and he could break it and I'd still thank him. I can't describe how much I love this book. The quotes and the poems had me smiling like an idiot AHHHH
