kann nicht sagen, dass es gut war - die story usw. sind recht unspektakulär, konnte mit der protagonistin auch nicht so viel anfangen, aber dennoch mochte ich das buch extrem gerne, weil ich die idee über das retelling über peter pan und nimmerland richtig cool fand und der spice extreeeeem gut war.

Nimmerland in einem ganz neuen Flaire, Peter Pan mit Tatoos als dunkler König, zwei Fae Brüder und ein Todesschatten. Mit 18 muss Winnie feststellen, dass die Schauermärchen ihrer Mutter real sind und Peter auch sie holen wird. Doch was wollen ihre fremden Entführer von ihr? Wird sie es verhindern können genauso verrückt zu werden wie ihre Mutter? Und welche Rolle spielt Tink und ihre Tochter darin?

Mal eine ganz andere Art Peter Pan und die verlorenen Jungs kennenzulernen. Der Schreibstil ist flüssig und einfach zu lesen jedoch zog sich der Anfang etwas und ich kam nur schwer rein, aber gut über die Hälfte des Buches ging es langsam bergauf und es kam etwas Spannung rein. Die Charaktere sind noch etwas plump gehalten und haben keine tiefe…da ich aber finde das dies bei den meisten Dark Romanze Büchern ist wenn es ein Mehrteiler ist bin ich gespannt ob es im zweiten Buch besser wird. Es war cool mal eine andere Version von Peter Pan zu lesen und an sich war das Buch oke, hat aber noch viel Luft nach oben. Ich bin schon gespannt auf das nächste Buch.

Honestly, I was kinda scared of the book, because they say it's really dark, but I wouldn't say so. Of course, it's dark, because it's a dark romance or to be exact a dark romantasy with reverse harem. For me, as a dark romance + fantasy + reverse harem lover it was the perfect book, even though I expected more smut. I love all the boys (especially Pan and Bash 😂). The only thing, I regret, is that I didn't order the second and third book with the first one. I absolutely love her writing style!

Eigentlich ne mega Storyline, hat mir bis zur Mitte alles auch sehr gefallen. Das Ende fand ich etwas flott und naja, bin mir unsicher. Auch das die Mutter sich gegen eine Rückkehr auf die Insel entschieden hat obwohl sie das immer wollte fand ich etwas unklar. Und der Rest war so flott gegen Ende hin.

The Never King von Nikki St. Crowe stellt einen gelungenen Einstieg in eine neue Reihe dar. Die dynamische Handlung weckt sofort die Neugier der Leser und vereint Fantasie mit Spannung in einer fesselnden Welt. Unerwartete Wendungen sorgen für Überraschungen, und der fesselnde Erzählstil lädt zum Durchlesen ein. Am Ende stellt sich Vorfreude auf die Fortsetzung ein. Insgesamt ist The Never King ein vielversprechender Auftakt, der Fantasy- und Spannungsfans begeistert. Ich freue mich auf die kommenden Entwicklungen.

Hmm….ich weiß nicht, wie ich es anders beschreiben soll als: ich bin enttäuscht Ich habe eine Schwäche für Dark retelling, Dark inspirirings und Dark romances in general aber dieses Buch war nichts von all dem. Was mir sehr gut gefallen hat, war der Schreibstil. Es lies sich locker und zügig lesen. Es gab keine künstlichen Längen und keine unnötig in die Länge gezogenen Sätze. Aber leider auch keine tiefe. Ich hatte mir ein wenig mehr Story erhofft. Man erhält wenig Story, kaum Hintergründe und nichts spannendes. Dafür jede Menge Sex, hornyness und den Versuch eine düstere Story zu schaffen. Winnie ist ein merkwürdiger Charakter. Sie wirkt unscheinbar und unausgereift. Alles was ich nach diesem Buch über sie weiß ist, dass sie willig ist und darauf steht von mehreren lost Boys befriedigt zu werden, während Peter Pan zusieht. Es gibt so gut wie kein world Building und das fand ich sehr schade. Es gibt viele deutlich bessere Bücher dieser Art und ich weiß nicht ob ich die anderen Teile der Reihe lesen möchte. Es war nicht das schlechteste Buch aber auch kein wirklich gutes

In der Geschichte von den verlorenen Jungs begegnen einem viele Aspekte, die ich so in einem Buch noch nie gelesen habe. Das macht die Story sehr einzigartig und sorgt auch dafür, dass ein Lesesog entsteht. Ich wollte das Buch unbedingt beenden, werde auch den zweiten Teil lesen und bin wirklich gespannt, wie es weitergeht. Ist man einmal eingetaucht in die Welt von Peter Pan und seinen dunklen Kumpanen kommt man da nur schwer wieder heraus

I do need to say this Peter Pan retelling is quite interesting and the balance between smut and plot are exactly right for me. It‘s a palate cleanser I really much enjoy. Can’t wait to continue this series.

Pan wird kommen und sie holen. So wie er es mit allen anderen Darling Frauen der Vergangenheit gemacht hat. Manche von ihnen sind nur Wochen weg, andere Monate. Doch eines haben sie alle gemeinsam: Sobald sie zurückkehren sind sie alle gebrochen. Meine Meinung Vermutlich kann sich jeder denken, was in diesem Buch passieren wird, nachdem man den Klappentext gelesen hat. Und hey, das ist auch gut so. Allerdings war die Story vorhersehbar und konnte kaum Spannung aufbauen. Doch der Bezug und die Neu-Interpretation zum Original haben mir gefallen. Ich fand Winnie unsympathisch, aber sie passt in diese Geschichte. Außerdem musste ich bei ihrem Name ständig an ein Wiener Würstchen denken :D Peter & die Lost Boys hingegen haben mich neugierig gemacht. Der Spice war klasse (kommt auch nicht zu kurz) und der Schreibstil flüssig. Dies war das erste Buch der Autorin für mich, aber ich habe schon ein paar Neverland-Retellings gelesen. Leider konnte mich bisher noch keines so wirklich überzeugen. Aber ich suche weiter! Mir hat es gefallen, dass das Buch nur ca. 200 Seiten hat und nicht in die Länge gezogen wurde. Es wurde alles auf den Punkt gebracht und die Handlung verlief schnell. Deswegen war ich auch innerhalb von zwei Abenden mit dem Buch durch. Aktuell ist es bei Kindle unlimited erhältlich. Leseempfehlung für Dark Romance Liebhaber, die gern Bücher mit einem Fantasy-Setting lesen. Es ist ein unterhaltsames Buch für Zwischendurch. Die Fortsetzung werde ich lesen.

Peter Pan and the Lost Boys meet dark romance retelling. When I read the synopsis I was really excited about it. First of all: Peter Pan retelling? Hell yes Always there for it. And he takes the female Darlings if the family on their 18th birthday, in hope they can help him find his shadow back. Love it. Awesome story idea. 10/10 for this. But the execution could have been better. Winnie Darling started of as straight up dumb. There isn’t really anything exciting about her. Her only quality she has shown so far is being a whore. Her nickname literally is Winnie whore and she seems to be proud of it? No offense to anyone working in this sector or enjoying sex. Being confident about yourself and enjoying life is great. That’s not my issue with her. It’s the fact that she is far away from being a complex character. Like I said, what we got so far from her was: - she got kidnapped and was afraid to go crazy - accepted her fate after two hours - decided she will just fuck everyone who doesn’t run away and will make everything sexual I’m desperately searching for some character depth besides that. But I have hopes for her! I have not given up! It seems to be, or so I’m hoping, that this is just a coping mechanism of her because of her past and what she had to go through. I’m desperately hoping she will show us more sides of herself in the next book! She has the potential to become a baddie. But so far she’s just boring. And has adapted to her situation way to easy. But what can I say…. She’s different. And regarding the rest of the characters. We have Peter Pan who lost his shadow and gives of mayor vampire vibes. He dies in the sun and his room is called the tomb…. And the Lost Boys. Sheer endless amounts of them. But important are just three: the twins Bash and Kas who are faeries. And the death shadow possessing Vane. They are all… okay. We haven’t really gotten any depth about them too so we will see. So far they seem to be mostly focused on one thing: the Darling and fucking said Darling. And half of their actions especially towards the end are unreasonable and seem out of character? Even though I don’t even know what their characters are like? I don’t want to spoil anything in this review but… I don’t know why you once specific lost boy did what you did. This didn’t make sense. Hate her and then out of the good in yourself you safe her? After hating on her a bit too passionate? Yeah no I don’t get what your deal is. Also they all go on about how this particular Darling is different than the others [ yeah she’s different. yikes. Because she isn’t breaking down and crying all the time. That’s the reason they believe her to be the one. Different than all the others and the one - Quite the trigger words for me hahaha]. And they go on about how they make her see them as something but that’s not who they truly are. Then please elaborate… what are you truly like? The only thing I saw was hornier that a bunch of teenagers. Also don’t want to spoil anything but their behavior became I still have hopes for this series tho! The plot-parts that we got sounded really promising and if the author manages to give every character a bit more complexity and depth this can be really good! The writing itself isn’t awesome. But not bad either. It’s good but nothing remarkable. But what definitely had it’s time in the spotlight was one thing - the spicy spice. Lots of screen time for that. Don’t get me wrong - I’m not sorry about it. I know what to expect when starting such a book. And this one did not disappoint. The smut was written in a way that only made me cringe I believe several times. Decent smut but I prefer my sex scenes to be hot? But after I had such hopes for the story and world building I was a bit disappointed that 80% of the book was: Winnie being horny and wanting to fuck one of them and them eventually giving in. We will see how it will develop with the next book. I still have hope! The issue with this book is just that nothing really was explored! We got glimpses and small pieces of a deeper story all of the time but we never got deeper into it. The porn seemed to be the more important part in this book which is sad because like I already said often now: you could have done so much with it. We still don’t really known shit about all of them. And I hope this will be resolved and cleared in the next book. I don’t need another erotica. I mean….well give it to me. But maybe season the smut with a bit of plot? Character depth and plot development? That would be great! I like my food to be spicy but it’s not everything. You need a base that you can spice up. And this book… left the base uncooked. 2

Im ersten Teil geht es darum das Peter Pan denkt das die Familie Darling seinen Schatten gekraut hatten deswegen sucht er jede Generation am 18 Geburtstag der Darlings diese Familie auf um sie zu entführen und in die Gedanken der Darlings zugucken ob er seinen Schatten wieder finden kann aber bei der kleinen Winny Darling kann er einfach nicht widerstehen

Well… party people… In dieser Geschichte steht ganz klar der Sex im Vordergrund. Seeeehr weit. Ich liebe meinen spice und mein Dark romance und das wissen die meisten von mir auch. Aber das hier? War mir fast schon etwas zuuuu viel. Ich glaube auch das einfach diese Art und Weise wie dort mit Sex umgegangen wurde nicht sooo meins ist. Dennoch muss ich sagen das mir die Story Idee rund um Peter Pan, seinen verloren Schatten und die lost Boys echt gefallen hat. Gerade über Vane hätte ich auch gerne noch mehr genutzt. Vielleicht werde ich ja auch irgendwann mal Teil 2 lesen - wer weiß. Also zusammengefasst gesagt: eine Leseempfehlung ist das nicht wirklich. Außer ihr wollt eine Überdosis an Sex dann haut rein😂 Das gute ist nämlich, dass das Buch sehr kurz und der Schreibstil der Autorin auch sehr angenehm ist

Did I swear to never read this? Yes. Well I thought this would be smut without plot (definitely smut in here) but I found myself really enjoying the plot. Sure you could guess the ending but that’s okay. I love Peter Pan do this just was a (spicy) retelling that I liked a lot. The concept of Peter kidnapping the Darlings was amazing but WHY does it need to be her 18th BDAY ?? I don’t like age gap (100+) and this made me feel creeped. The MC was such an interesting character with so many relatable traits and flaws. The pacing was very fast and I liked that it was as short as it is (around 200 pages)
