Süße und schnulzige Romanze🥰
Fast schon ein bisschen zu viel Schnulz für mich haha aber es ist defintiv eine Versuch wert :)
This book was exactly what the title promised: full of love and sweet cliches that are too good to be true. Charlie and William have a love story straight out of a cheesy romance movie. Soulmates that met at the wrong time. They loose each other. And find back together again. Is it finally the right time for them? This is somehow a second chance romance, but they never had a real first chance. Fate stepped in. But fate also let them cross paths again six years later. Whilst at first Charlie was a bit too clumsy and quirky for my taste, I slowly fell in love with her bubbly rambling persona. Despite many people trying to drag her down, she’s not giving up. Never quitting being the sunshine in everyone’s life. But she’s also vulnerable and emotional. And William. Goddamn. If anything, Ella knows how to write the most wholesome and perfect male main characters. She makes them the epitome of book boyfriends. She did it with Jack in Marriage for One. And now has outdone herself with William. He’s not the grump that Jack was. But he’s charming. He’s considerate. He pays attention. He gets angry when someone is treating Charlie not right. He goes above and beyond to treat Charlie the way she dreams her future boyfriend would. He also charmed my pants of five pages in. And together they are just adorable and super cheesy but in the very best way. They can’t help but fall for each other again after constantly bumping into each other and working together. And I’m living for their relationship. It’s friendship. It’s soulmates. It’s unconditional love. There are a few aspects that I would needed chanced for it to be five stars. I am still not a fan of third act break ups. In ninety percent of the books it feels unnecessary. And sadly… this one kinda went a bit too hard on the break up. There were some parts that were necessary for the plot, others were not. It’s overall an acceptable plotline that got resolved pretty fast. But I would have not needed some of the dramatics from it. Overall a really enjoyable sweet read. It’s a carefree book you can just enjoy and live on cloud nine reading it. It’s all marshmallows and cotton candy, but it also has some emotional moments. Absolutely worth a read for all my romance readers out there. I would say a classic Ella Maise. You get exactly what we know and love about her writing. AND WE GOT A JACK AND ROSE CAMEO. And also a cute puppy that loves pepperoni. 4
Absolutes Highlight
