Fantastisch! 😭❤️

Losers part I -Harley Laroux Dark Romance

Jess used to bully the „Losers“ in Highschool. The losers are four guys : Lucas: the angry psycho one who doesn’t give a damn about feelings Manson: the also psycho but also ultra sweet guy Jason: the very kinky one also he doesn’t shows his emotions very much… And Vincent: also very kinky and so funny They are all in this poly relationship (the losers) but Jason and Vincent are also like their own couple and Lucas and Manson are also their own couple They once slept with Jess and now all of them are obsessed with her… At some point at the book she can’t pay them to fix the damage she caused (it actually were her „friends“ but yeah) so they make a deal she will pay them „otherwise“ until the car is ready to drive again. Best why choose I have read so far

It’s really surprising that I liked that book. Didn’t expect I it to be honest. I think it tells a lot about me, cause like one year ago I read „the deal“ and I was traumatized. It was too much and I was not ready for such a book at this time. But now I’m toughened up I guess thanks to all these dark romance books haha. It was pretty hot. I really didn’t like the fmc but she changed like a full 180 which is why she is way more likeable at the end.<spoiler> Also really liked that there was no third act breakup which always is a plus point for me <spoiler>

4.25/5.00 This book had me at the dedication already and I’m not going to pretend that I don’t inhale anything this extraordinary author writes. Something about the way Harley Laroux writes her characters just gets me every time and this was no exception. Even though I might end up not liking ALL of the characters, there always will be one or two that really grow on me. This is what happened here, too. While I enjoyed Vincent and Jason for the characters they were, Manson as their seemingly ever-calm presence, their rock and their anchor point, it certainly was Lucas who had my whole heart. Manson watches out for them all, ties them together, keeps them together and level-headed(-ish) and realising he might need someone to lean on to sometimes was a valuable part in this book. So while I had some sort of sympathy for all of them, even Jess slowly started to grow on me, it all came down to Lucas being the most relatable to me. Behind all that aggression, the gruff exterior and the harsh words there’s just someone so afraid of losing again, that he can’t allow himself to get attached to anything at all. He’s afraid of being left behind when everyone else develops and evolves, not seeing how much value he has to all of them. His slow progress to trusting people, the general mistrust and antipathy towards the majority of people … that all hit a little too close to home to be comfortable. I just want to hug that man and tell him it’s going to be alright. Plotwise there was not too much going on in this one, but being a book that focuses a lot on the relations of the characters and their bond growing, evolving and prospering, I didn’t mind too much. The spice was good though. Like really good. Being a firm advocate for “no romance books should have more than 500 pages”, I’ll make an exception her because it’s basically like … 4 romance books, right? Right.

Oh my gosh!!! This books was so amazing. Harley Laroux is one of my all time favorite Authors and i love all her books. I really love the Cover of „Losers Part 1“. It presents the story so well. Harley Laroux has a beautiful writing style and i couldn’t but the book down. I´ve read the book in one day and it was so good. All the feelings, the tension and the angst were so amazingly written. You’re rooting for the characters the whole time. And the spicy scene… the spicy scene were just so delicious. I had to fan myself a few times. The Characters were portrayed very well. You could understand the actions and behavior very well. I love the boys and Jessica so much. They have so much chemistry and the tension between these five is so amazing. Generally I liked the plot very much and how everything developed was absolutely interesting and wonderfully written. The Dare was one of my favorite reads in 2021 and i was so excited that Harley wrote a full length novel for all these amazing character. If you liked „The Dare“ you definitely need to read „Losers“. You won’t regret it. And the end… the Cliffhanger… I need the next Part ASAP!!

So toll !

• found family • polyamorous rep • bully x bullied • racing

When I read The Dare, Jess and Manson made me curious for more. I liked them as protagonists, I liked the spice…but I also felt like we‘ve just got a glimpse in and there‘s so much more. And ohhh there’s so much more indeed. Losers does not just offer perspectives of all 5 of them, there are also their background stories and one of the best found families I‘ve ever read about (and believe me when I say I‘m a sucker for found family). Also the constellation of Jess being the former bully (what I also loved to read about in The Dare), it was an amazing starting point for this story. The spice is full 5/5🌶 – it‘s perfekt. All of it. We get scenes with all of them, scenes with Jess and each of them, and scenes between the guys. Love it! That‘s poly representation as it should be in my opinion. In my opinion the story is character driven. Everything revolves around Jess, Manson, Lucas, Vincent and Jason, and I like how this story is told. For real, the book is 600 pages long, and I never, not once, felt bored despite the fact that the plot is basically the characters and their relationship. I eat it up, loved every second of it. The ending isn‘t a cliffhanger…still I can‘t wait for the second book and to continue this journey with them. You may guessed it: For me it‘s a highlight!🫶 And I haven‘t mentioned that – have I? – the guys also are mechanics (well, Lucas and Manson are) and they race cars❤️ 5/5⭐️
