citas japanu autoru gramatas man ir patikusas vairak (piemeram if cats disappeared from the world) bet si ari bija laba un ipatneja, bija interesanti lasit par klaras skatu uz pasauli un redzet ka vinas prasmes cilveku uzvedibas lasisana paliek plasakas.
gramatas vidu bija tads mazs plot twist ko es negaidiju, bet beigas bija labas, vienigi dazas vietas bija confusing
overall bija labi, bet es isti neko neieguvu no sis gramatas lasisanas
I feel like I expected this book to be a bit more... more groundbreaking, more intense. It's a rather soft story of seeing a girl growing up through the eyes of a robot. The style seems clunky and distant, but I guess it fits the narrator (who again, is a robot).
I enjoyed reading about the world through Klara's perspective, her beliefs of the sun's healing powers and how to make the world a better place, but I wish the book would've gone a bit deeper.
„I can't tell you anything more without jeopardizing the very thing we achieved. But I believe there's real hope now. Please be patient and wait for good news.“
Overall it was a very okay book. Klara and the theme artificial friend was broadly discussed but I wasn’t really interested in the whole plat generally. I also don’t think that I got the meaning of this book or the message but the writing style made it easy to read it quickly.
I normally dont pick up that much Science fiction, but seeing the world through such diffrent eyes was very intersting for me. Ishiguro made me understand every single emotions every character felt. The ending was not how I expected it to be, but after reading it, i could not imagine a better one. This book had just such a grip on me and I really enjoyed Ishiguros writing-style.
Expectations much too high. Loved Ishiguro's other books. This one just felt very flat for me. Maybe I will think differently of it add some time passes.
It was one of the best comfort books I‘ve read this year. So light and yet so heavy, with a soft ending. There‘s nothing I didn’t like about this book. No 5 star review because there was also nothing super outstanding. But definitely worth a read if you want a light book with a refreshing point of view.
"Do you believe in the human heart? I don't mean simply the organ, obviously. I'm speaking in the poetic sense. The human heart. Do you think there is such a thing? Something that makes each of us special and individual?"
This book is a nice story about a life we might experience in a few decades. At first, it took me really long to get into the story and to understand what is actually happening. The protagonist is an artificial intelligence (called AF) which means that everything is described from her kind of view. This results in her not understanding or misunderstanding certain events which challenges the reader to try and understand for themselves what the AF is actually experiencing. It seems like 60% of the book was the introduction into the main story. Thats why it took me so long to finish this book. Even in the end I still have questions that were not fully answered which might be due to a lack of understanding and insight of the protagonist.
All in all it is an interesting book which inspires to think further about the meaning of the events that are happening. The story also includes problems and ethical discussions which are present today and will be in the future as well.
I only gave 3 stars because the introductory part of the story was too long for me.

I was very excited to read my first lecture by Ishiguro who holds the Nobel Prize in Literature. On top, the plot dealt with Artificial Intelligence, which is one of my favourite terrains of interest. I thought the combination of Ishiguro’s praised world-class writing style with a plot dealing with advanced technology could bear an immense potential that would blow off my mind. It did not. Maybe I had to too high expectations to the book that I could not manage while I progressed page by page; it would rather drain my energy instead of boasting me with enthusiasm. Nevertheless, I am happy to have read this book and I look forward to another one by Ishiguro. I read so many positive reviews about his work, hence it can only get better with the next read

Be careful with your AIs, or they'll invent religious sun cults.
While the narrator's voice was quite perfect for an AI, the story itself fell short of what I'd expected. Some of the more interesting topics where merely brushed and never fully explored or "fluffed" over.
