I find it quite hard to rate this book. I think it would be 2.5 stars for me. Tending to 3 but actually I read a lot better Star Trek books What I liked: the variety of characters and life forms that a lot background from TNG and Vanguard was involved that Tuvok played a role that racism and superiority of humans within the Star Fleet was reflected What I disliked: the plot was actually not that exciting belabouring on the deep connection between Riker and Deanna and that they sense what the other thinks and feel ALL THE TIME. Take a break, we got it. No need to mention it like 50 times that the topic of racism, which was so central, then was just wiped away with a mediocre gesture
