The first 200 pages were just too painfully to read. If I didn't already read reviews that it will be better towards the end, I wouldn't have read it through. SEP mostly let's her heroines suffer, but is it just me or did this women particularly made a fool out of herself? Also, many things were quite redundant, as if SEP thought her readers could not remember what she had written 100 pages earlier. In the end I almost wished those two would not end up together, which I also thought like 90 percent of this book overall. In RL love is also not perfect, but if this is a kind of role model for people, when you have to completely ridicule yourself to be in love, I'd rather be single. The 2 stars are for having some better moments and dialogue in this otherwise dreadfully written book.
