I will have to sit on this book for a while. I loved the beginning, but then it sadly started to loose me as it went on. Magical realism, literary absurdism, dream sequences and stream of consciousness are not my preferred literary techniques, so I wasn‘t exactly surprised, but I‘m still very happy to have read it. I think I took everything out of this book that I could, and I‘m grateful it made me educate myself on more details of the Russian Revolution, especially on how it affected Ukraine. If I will ever read it again, however, I do not know. ____________ 3.5 stars , rounded up.
